I missed the rise yesterday! But hey ho. I'm still not going anywhere regardless. I'm sick of missing the boat because I'm inpatient , so I'm not selling @1p or 11p or even £1.11p. I want to see and be part of this, but 1st step for me is to see it past 18p at which price I bought in it at about 18 months ago. Granted it's changed focus but if the company gets this right then it could be the next EBay, Amazon etc etc. Skier, nice set of figures, but I don't count rises that after all are just re tracing back to original figures before the fall over the last month / six month. But that's me nip picking and we are all on the same side here. Onwards and upwards
Good job your did. I bet they never thought of buying shares at this price...... God some people!!
Anything up to 6 months....
Suppose to be for the company and not for bragging rights on things peeps have backed? Who wants to hear it, I know I don't.
Nice start to the week to see a current 4% rise today in the first 40 mins of trading and for once I got my strategy spot on :)
Betfair is head and shoulders above the rest we know that, and it will be a long long time before anything even comes close to matching or even passing for that mind. But I still hear what you say. I've been with Betfair must be close on 10yrs now and and I have never had to use customer service, so I can't comment, but the fact I've been happy for those last ten years tells you there product ( well for me anyways ) is again top notch. Regards the accounts of wrong doers, from what I know they all p1ss in the same pot so to speak. With that I mean it's very well within all the betting companies to look out for anything out of the ordinary and I've seen on TV of people being brought to justice through irregular betting patterns and it's always going to be trying to out wit each other. It's been going on donkeys always trying to beat the system. The better tech available the better the chances of catching them.
I've always wanted to be in BET but was never paying 1100 to enter, so I was patient and waited and waited until I finally saw the price I wanted to enter into, that being 950. Was slightly worried to see it go down into the 930's but that worry was short lived and I feel a lot better it's closing in on that £10. Just chuffed I managed finally to get into this share...... I was tempted to plunge 50k of my Grans life savings into this as well, considering I have Power of Attorney, but bottled it. I could be tempted next time but no worries if it never returned back to my entry point.
Was MDC suspended in the first place for? Was it a RTO or did they delist or just go bump. Had these sat in my account for ages, and like you say below, it's enough to lose although mines only £400. But still that's a new Fridge freezer or washing machine...... Thoughts?
Your better off reading back on this board and you should find your answers, if not ask again with the name of your broker and go from there.
Oh dear...... N U R S E
Hey fella, If I had the cash I would be more than happy to take on more shares. It's nothing to do with I'm a believer or not it's about risk reward for me. It would be worth the risk and is simply putting a bet on a horse or any sporting event with odds of around 3/1 based on your assessment of where the share price should be if not delisted. So if I'm getting that price it would be worth my while. If they do what you think they will do then I lose my stake simples. But if they relist then I queue up and collect my winnings. 3/1 is a lot better than even money. I've lost tens of thousands over the course of my adult life, so what's another £20 odd thousand, the answer is nothing.... As you would say, some you win and some you lose. You still thinking of attending the meeting in June ? It's just before my back op but will be travelling to London regardless.
Have you attempted to sell your now worthless shares in Matra? If your planning to, how much are you willing to drop to too get rid of?
Thanks fella re CHA. I was just protecting my profit and it could of easily gone down yesterday even more which was why I did sell up, but I was always going to buy back in once it had bottomed. But I still stand by selling though, ok it cost me 87k shares from selling to buying back in, and that's only because I couldn't wake up in time or the loss would of been much smaller. But it was a good day yesterday with the price moving back into the 1p range and making me more profit, and that's what it's all about. I don't know if you've seen today, but it's only 10-30am and there up 18% already on yesterday's close, so well chuffed with that and it's almost at a year high which was hit on Monday or Tuesday this week. I hear what your saying re the hot tuna days, but it's all a different ball game to what it was. New board, different venture and most important they've got cash now, and in someways it's gone the same as MTA when the 2 Chuckle brothers owned Matra. I've been harping on long enough about getting into CHA and would like to know If anybody actually took a punt on them. If anybody did, then I know your in profit whatever price you bought in it. Moving on to MTA and the meeting Stav, let me know if your going and I will make the effort myself to get there, hopefully on time this time around ! Have a great weekend peeps and may the JPJ be with you......
I'm not tempted at all, are you? From your change of opinion I thought you'd be the second inline to cash out? Even if they climbed and went past the suspension price even a little bit over I still say no. If it some how doubled then I might be swayed, but depends on my cash flow is at that time. I see CHA recovered today after a couple of red days and ended up 13% Stav. A new board member was introduced and bought £600k via a share placing straight away there was also a delayed trade from yesterday for £70k which is a lot of shares in Chonca.
I don't think anyone will know that because it's based on factors like the value of the company. You mention $200 million, but they need another $15 million via a loan, how will that reflect the calculations. All I know is the shackles are now off and they can go full speed ahead with the other RTO.... They did indeed say the timing was of the upmost importance, so now we shall see if they are indeed true to there word and go for that 2nd RTO, which they stated they couldn't do while in AIM. If no takeover happens pretty sharpish then I do think it's game over for sure, and we've been had. But if that 2nd RTO does happen like they said it would then there is some hope. Maybe not a lot of hope but it's still some, and from that some grows a US oil and gas company ready to be re listed...... But the clock is ticking.
Is it worth attending? It might be if we can ask further questions regarding the future of our shares between now and then. I'll go with the numbers, meaning if some are going from here then I'll make the effort and attend myself. It might be good if we make ourselves known to each other so we can get each other's ideas and thoughts. There's only so much you can write on here. Stav my old friend. Re CHA, you would of seen the price jump from .22 when I first invested to a high of 1.23 on Monday, but pretty much gained about 110% at today's price of 1.03 since I told everyone about it. I'm up about £14k profit on a combined outlay of £10k ish, although yesterday that £14k would of been £18k when the markets opened and wiped off £4k by the end of play. Some you win some you lose, but the bigger picture is a massive profit overall in a very short space of time. Am I tempted to take some profit which you asked? I was thinking about it on Monday evening, but checking the buys v the sells and some of those buys where chunky at full ask which we had been seeing time after time I thought it would gain more and more, so decided to leave it there. Hindsight is a great thing and of course it's my fault for not keeping tabs on it yesterday. But yet again we saw a massive £33k buy way above the full ask along with more double figure buys as well. But if it drops further today I will take my profit but keep my original buy in stake in. There's still more to come based on the full ask buys that keep appearing for a lot of cash, and I don't think it will be to long before we know why. If this board does close, it would be nice to hear of anymore horse tips :0 I can be found over on CHA if there are anymore tips..... I do have a whisper of a tip myself and it's for the 2000 guineas and is called Miss France. It's about 12/1 and I believe it's this weekend. Been great on here but we move forward, and yes it still remains to be seen if we've lost everything or not. Either way there's nowt we can do but wait and see. Goodbye my virtual friends x
One for goodbyes, so ****** to it why change now......
Sounds we've been had then. I and many others seem to have worthless shares now, ah well win some ya lose some. I'm just ****ed I went all that way, got stuck and turned up late and now laid up in agony after the travel home. It's time to put this to bed. I'll be on the Chonca board if anyone wants to chat with me again. This is dead so no point hanging around feeling sorry for ourselves. Was fun ish
A bit strong there Stav fella, but you have every right to be. Having now seen what I missed at the meeting I now get it, and LT puts it much better than I could of. Overall I think he could of screwed us over if he wanted to but the thing I do get now is MTA can not afford to be locked in. Not now not even in 2014. I missed the part about another acquisition but thought I heard something about it during one of the questions. So not only are they looking to finish the RTO but there going for another acquisition after that, and there is no way they can do it listed. The importance is speed from what I got, and if they want all this to happen it's got to be now. I wished they would of give a more approx date instead of just saying in 2015, buts just me. I think if he or MTA wanted to rip us off they could of done it anyways, and yes it still might happen. But given a choice of staying or selling on JP I know where I stand now, although that doesn't mean I won't knee cap him if he does do a runner :0 LT, you could of said hello fella. It was pretty easy to spot the odd one out in me when I arrived late, but maybe next time, if there is a next time of course.....
I'm done now in KFC so going to make my way home, so no net till then.
