From what I have read Bahri are not interested in taking over BT they just want to work with BT. Apparently the have been working together for the last two decades. They don’t even want a seat in the boardroom.

Reading through it again now I apologise to you. When I was posting the chat I kept getting interrupted by phone calls this morning.

Badlands and the others who spouting about the share price falling back to 300's. You haven't got a clue about investing the share price will never fall back to those sort of figures. The company is back on secured footings now, the debt has now been reduced considerably and the company now able to pay a dividend to it's shareholders. There will be dips along the way but that is the case with any company listed on the stock exchange. The smart investor takes advantage of these dips and uses them to their advantage. Basically that how you make money from investing along with the returns.

Anybody selling BT shares this week, when it is ex dividend day on Thursday. Doesn’t make any sense to me. If there is going to be a downturn BT should be in a safe haven considering where the business performs.

I was watching GB news the other night and they had a former financial advisor to Labour on, he stated that they may lift Capital Gains Tax to 40% in the Autumn statement. If that happens it will kill the stock market.

You may have made a wise move. I was watching GB news the other night they were talking about the winter fuel allowance and other taxes that may come in the Autumn statement one was raising Capital gains tax to 40% frightening.

Yes. I want the dividends back like every other shareholder, but over the last few years Rolls Royce has incurred a lot of debt due to the pandemic etc. The company has made great strides in reducing the debt and the dividend will return but not as quickly as some people think on this site. There will be some more turbulence in the share price. We have to be patient, and just be satisfied at the moment with where we are now and where we have come from 70p per share.

The Company is still sporting negative equity position meaning liabilities outweigh assets. So the dividend isn’t guaranteed.

Because the company will be delisted from the footsie and become a private company.
