I agree coloneldrake, but I do appreciate the wake up call of the cold hard logic of Berenberg - despite the losses it has created. Although I have not watched every trade in the last seven days (feels like it though) it seems computer driven for a purpose. It started before the results. Most days the BUYS and SELLS in roughly equal messure. What I find very hard to believe right now is how and why our last CEO was allowed to borrow and spend so much, and in doing so, just how the share price bounce back to 140p-ish. One moment this is a billion pound company. Next, the market price for diamonds drops about 10% and we are a zombie company. The experts predict that the market prices will boucne back!

whatever the position, I hope no one gets confused during due dil and the great value of this debt-free, FCF producing, asset-rich, strategicly-placed company is recognised and the potential fully realised.

Peter, hi. I do not doubt the authenticity of the opinion. I do think too much weight has been placed on AN ‘opinion’. I have posted before that the Proactive website are reporting as if fact what is speculation and rumination. Either that is poor reporting or it was intentional for some reason. In any event, we are where we are. I think the hunt for big stones is on. All trumpets will be out and blaring on any +100 ct find.

The conclusion appears to follow from "Berenberg reckons the impact of reduced diamond price estimates, driven by weak diamond markets, will “materially reduce” its net asset value and cash flow projections."

The words "estimates" and "projections" stand out, and if not eventually proven inaccurate, could have inbuilt tollerance which could have matrial impact on the thrust of the conclusion.

lol - i note Berenberg's website (https://www.berenberg.de/en/) states under "Investor Warning" ...
