Tygra, it's part of listing rules that if the number of ordinary shares in issue changes the market must be updated, and equally the exposure to prospective changes in the ordinary shares in issue through options, warrants, convertible debt, etc, must also be disclosed. The mem & arts of association (can be updated at AGM) will show how much of the issued share capital can be increased through a placing which does not need shareholder approval.

I'm not trying to patronise but you should at least have an awareness of the legals involved in PLC before investing

And if you are going to do it on a shoestring, get the right people/consultants! This is a leadership issue

Clio, I feel you are too sympathetic. This is a listed company with one revenue stream - gambling on an independent consultant or one employees is ok for an SME. Why not invest in an agency that has a breadth of skill and experience to be almost guaranteed to execute? As you say, the rewards flow when the sweet spot is tickled

My order is at 153p. It might not be filled but pre-results, price movements can accelerate quickly (in both directions)

Aquae, that is great insight. If they didn't know this, they need to churn their marketing department PDQ. It is quite fundamental to have someone (or use a decent agency!?) knowing this detail if they are pursuing this specific digital marketing strategy. When the results came out I questioned their ability to sell....that is great research

To be fair Barrie, the central costs being lumped together to avoid comparability is an irrevocable election and you can take a cynical view (which I did at the time) but the other view is that they are controlling more and more from the centre now - this makes sense if the products and services are more digitised - in which case I am okay with that move, and the temporary increase in costs because these projects are expensive in restructure costs, operational balls-ups, and unanticipated inefficiencies.

I just can't see how PFG will not prosper over the next couple of years and therefore it is time to build the position now rather than when the good news arrives!

Theborn, if you feel the share price underperformance is irrational, then fill your boots with shares which you feel are at a discount! You give management a hard time, and in some areas I agree, but they do not care for views of PI's. Perhaps the II's feel the same way, in which case, the share price being where it is, is fair

If you think that one holder (of any persuasion) is offloading, you need to be mindful of who the buyer is. Unless you have a rational answer for both sides of a trade, you are being irrational in forming a conclusion

Belgrano please stop with your codswallop. For a trade to happen, there needs to be a buyer and a seller. There is no way of declaring your intentions when ordering a buy or sell, so stop opining about whether they are ' swing traders' or 'LTHs' or whatever

I don't think it is another profit warning. They have said the outlook is difficult to predict.

The forecast should be £2bn revenues for FY23 - I would be amazed if operating costs were over £1.9bn
