So with ref to the current SP and the last cash call where new shares were discounted at approx 19% on the then SP of 0.5 HK$, which equated to 40.5mill HK$ raised. And assuming that a similar amount may be required to cover this years operating costs, given there is only 1mill USD in the bank (or is there since we are already 3 months into the year). The company today would have to issue approx. 10% of the companies currently issued shares to raise the same amount of money. ie at an SP of 0.243HK$.

With the usual drop in SP following such a placing it wont be too long before we start heading towards 0.2 HK$ if done before RP receive the 4mill USD from Fosun. Yes, all conjecture on my par, but I cannot see any other way to cover the costs.

Anyone think that Jim may step in with a small bridging loan until monies are received from Fosun ? Although we would still need a cash call at the beginning of next year.

Not trying to be to pessimistic, but I cannot see any other way.....Unless a new Licensing agreement is signed and pdq.

Interesting that an announcement was made this morning regarding a proposed amendment of the Articles of Association. So they don't always have to wait till close of trading to make announcements???

I notice that they are proposing reducing the % required by a member or members acting together from 20% to 10 %. Is this a requirement by new HK listing rules or is there another reason for doing it ? Although it still doesn't help us lot much :-)

If anyone is interested, the three countries (UK, Romania and Greece) relaunched and expected to be launched later this year have the following numbers.

UK = 66.6mill
Romania = 19.6mill,
Greece = 11.2mill

=> Additional projected sufferers (x 0.5 x 0.25) = 12.175mill

Adding that to the other 5 countries = approx. 45mill sufferers...

Recordati just needs to pull their finger out and provide some well needed awareness...... ;-)

1. 2 EU country launches.
2. Chinese approval submission.
3. Further license agreements ?
4. FDA Update.
5. Possible cash call.

If Jim likes it that much, why didn't he take control soon after they failed to meet the agreed milestones ? We probably would have gotten back a lot more than 266k GBP, which is around a 90% loss.

Our resident accountant certainly feels the announcement left a few unanswered questions:

There is a lack of any reference or commentary on future funding needs.

The $1 m in cash will now be spent and the investments will cover the tax settlement which is due in 90 days. (JM will probably buy the assets if need be since he quite likes Venturex’s prospects).

Its almost as if funding its not an issue- but why?

Of course the Aussie tax authorities settled for the close to the value of the investments which is all RP has available.

The financials also give the impression that their production was just going through the motions of getting them out. They were briefer than usual with no additional detail of note and the repetition on the tax case was almost incredible. Not sure why, as we have just signed up two further licenses, they were not exactly highlighted.

They still managed $4 m of salaries – not bad going., with JG "apparently" not taking any !!!!

Certainly seems like there is more going on than what's being alluded to here. !!!!

And what about our holding in the West China Coke. What are their intentions with this holding ?

I wouldn't get too enthusiastic with the words written since he obviously is confused. One minute it is stated that "successful launch of Fortacin™ in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal in Q1 2018, ahead of schedule".......
I certainly don't recall it being ahead of schedule. As far As I am aware it was behind schedule.

Then he goes on to say "The first commercial sale of Fortacin™ took place on schedule in Italy, France, Spain, Germany and Portugal."

Surely if he cannot get "ahead of schedule" and "on schedule" right within 4 pages, what does that tell us about the rest of it ?

But you are certainly right. Given that we don't know when the Chinese submission will be made, there will probably be a cash call sometime later this year.

Or is the DBS disposal also an indication that preparations are afoot to offload the company ???

Interestingly in the announcement it states "Currently, there are 12 test centres open for recruitment of patients in the US, with eight more test centres to be opened to facilitate recruitment"

Yet, if one visits https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT03578783 it indicates 14 centres of which 12 are recruiting and 2 are Not yet recruiting. So what has happened to the other 6 centres are they just not yet listed ? surely not given that from the very beginning when nothing was recruiting there was already a large list in place ?

Although I feel there is light at the end of the tunnel. it seems the "company is out of control in regard to management" (not my words unfortunately)

This latest FDA update is about the 4th, which is absolute BS given that early 2014 we had an agreed way forward with the FDA and I was told face to face that Dr Mike was having regular visits to the states and meetings with the FDA (I think its also written in an old PLE announcement somewhere). This obviously was utter carp given the number of updates we have had since. they really need to get their act together and be transparent with shareholders.

Its taken far longer than any of us LTH's expected, but that is understandable given all the lies shareholders have been subjected to. why not just inform us the realistic time lines at the beginning ?

As The.Italian has noted and I am sure many would agree, most just want an end game even if smaller than expected. Better to make some profit than wait till most of us are dead....LOL

Not sure if the market likes it or doesn't like the announcement. I feel that last week somebody was selling down either because of the possible court case going against RPG or because of the impending results. Just my opinion which is based on a few rather large sells and the strings of low volume sells (trying not to lower the sp too quickly).

It did jump late yesterday afternoon, but was that from a leak of the info contained in the impending announcement ? We will never know.

As usual JG is playing on words and the usual vagueness. As far as I can see Recordati have suspended launches indefinitely since there are now no new dates. The next 5 countries should have had all the preparations already in place, so they should be able to provide a dates. They wont if they don't have any. We have to keep pressure on JG by email to provide shareholders with clarifications to what I consider as a deliberate attempt to confuse....nothing different there.

It will be interesting to see what "more detailed information" is contained in this weeks report.

What would have been worse ? paying the claim to begin with no interest or dragging it out to pay a lesser claim but a humungous amount of interest + costs. Only briefly looked at the figures, so not really sure if anything was achieved.

Not sure what it was meant by "divert more resources to our exciting operational matters.......What resources have been used for the court proceedings......Maybe just JG's, but then again is he of any real use if he cannot write a proper clear and informative announcement, which he has never done ?

A question:
If they were that confidant in winning and "while the expert and independent Australian advice received did not change throughout the dispute and at no stage did the Directors consider that any tax was payable, as part of the dispute resolution process". Why did they settle ? Is there a little more to this than they are providing or have they just run out of money and couldn't afford to continue ?

Anyway, its now closed and there is nothing else to trip us up.....or is there? Surely it now has to be onwards and upwards........

And now we have the agreement with Fosun, what are they expecting with the HK and Macau launches which are pretty much noncontributing ? A plop rather than fireworks.....LOL
