"Bigjock inmv
Omega will shine through on its own merits. If you were not so obsessed with its covids products you would be more enlightened".
A large portion of shareholders are Invested for the Covid products due to the added value it will add to the business. Your posts on here and adfvn are sporadic at best.
So what do we have:-
Emergency FDA approval :- Biden set to spend $1.6 Billion on covid testing in his risk settings (only confirmed yesterday) - Omega are in talks with US Companies, they are being pro-active.
We have a major shareholder who met with Omega last week and has put a price target of £1.20 - £1.70 after said meeting.
Antibody testing orders anticipated in 3 different countries with an anticipation that this will happen soon.
EU at home us approval (I would anticipate being August)
Commercial discussions being worked on which were facilitated by hmg (I believe this will be August)
What can be said is, that the volume of Government testing will reduce (removal of free tests) but they will still be used for frontline services, care homes and schools, whilst surge testings which I think there will be a lot of with the open door policy in England. Historically, demand was almost 2 to 3 times what the U.K. could produce even where we are today, so a reduction would bring it down to around UK capacity.
Orders are what will shift the SP back to all time highs, we can also confirm the quality of our test:-
Recently published study data confirms that Mologic’s lateral flow antigen test, being commercialised by Omega as the
VISITECT® COVID-19 Antigen test, demonstrates high diagnostic accuracy (specificity and sensitivity) fulfilling WHO
target accuracy with a high sensitivity (93.2%-98.4%) detecting individuals with high viral load infections (Ct<20 and
Ct<25). The test has also been independently verified in a 665-person study in Germany by FIND a global not-for-profit
foundation and a WHO collaborating centre. The test was shown to demonstrate best-in-class performance with 100%
specificity and 96.4% sensitivity (Cycle threshold <25) compared with laboratory PCR testing.
With Innova being phased out, the HMG's vision of having a "indigenous full UK supply chain" is near in my opinion. I have not evidenced anything, to show Innova is still coming to Wales, and again, clarifies that the company has realised that FDA Recall along with the reputation they now uphold, has tarnished any chance they had to set up there.
Furthermore to re-emphasise:-
"the ability to supply tests that are produced within the UK remains a key priority for the DHSC and to that end the
DHSC have facilitated initial commercial discussions between Omega and a number of companies with lateral flow
antigen tests to potentially provide UK manufacturing services".
With the vaccine, not providing the Silver Bullet, testing will be a critical component to opening up the economy - the gangs on here have talked down Omega
