This government are shameful - To have verbally and via written comms agree to pay the £6m+ then not pay a penny is truly disgusting and no business in the U.K. would get away with this.

I hope their solicitors also put in place interest charges for the duration they have withheld these funds. It’s clear for anybody to see that Abingdon have shot with a straight bat and are being punished due to the GLP having a vendetta against the government.

What bewilders most is the fact that it was surely an open goal to take on the hmg for their purchases of innova tests- why was their main focus on a U.K. business which diverted its full attention to help the hmg giving up other facets of the business.

The Government has substantially refused to pay Abingdon Health for the goods and services provided under the contract. The Company has outstanding invoices with the DHSC totalling £6.7m (including VAT), including £5.15m (including VAT) for the 1 million AbC-19™ rapid tests which were delivered in early January 2021 and some of which were deployed in the UK Biobank study. The Company was told by DHSC in January 2021, both verbally and in writing, that payment for the 1 million tests had been cleared for payment. Another Plot twist could be the fact that the Mologic test has been approved - Version 5 (the most up to date version) heavily resembles the Orient Gene test which has had home use approval and is extremely easy to use.

Omega openly admitted from q57 on the Q+A that they are unaware of how the conversation is progressing between (Mologic) and the DHSC. Perhaps Mologic have infact had the test approved.

Whatever the case, we have movement now and for Jo Churchill to class it as a "real milestone" evidences they are proud. This is just the beginning and as Jo calls it "a progressing journey".
