PF will be pleased as punch with himself ....i wonder if that deal constitutes a material development..../o:
I doubt we will see any Tema numbers until MPS / GPHA have reached agreement - any publication of indicative revenues by any contractor within the port would be a stick for the unions to hit MPS with ......I’m sure we will have been told to keep shtum ....... so unless news on other fronts I’d be expecting the Christmas update ....... |o:
Mmmm can’t understand why that won’t open , the attached is a paper reporting on the same statement ...

I wager MPS intended to railroad the contract home sticking two fingers up to GPHA in the process ,as I suspect they are legally entitled........it was the ministry of transport who blindsided MPS and Fowler with their missive late June .....

I suppose given the prolonged drought of MSC's , one has to make an appraisal of the situation and be grateful for what we "appear" to have ...... Its a reasonable assumption that we were something of a last resort as i'm sure we didn't get the gig due to our port security credentials - a condition of the award appears to be ones willingness to recruit and train a couple of hundred locals , work a trial period ( I don’t doubt we did as why else did it take Fowler three months to tell us we were being paid ) ........ and sit out a prolonged contract dispute between our employer and his client ..... entirely at one's own risk .............. I wonder how many of the established port security outfits would have entertained such an arrangement ......../o:
MPS have income protection and no competition – they have exclusive rights to handle container vessels carrying 200 twenty equivalent units (TEUs) or more , and GPHA are “precluded from initiating, developing or authorising the development or operation of any other container terminal within the Port and within a radius of 20 nautical miles.”
Reading that ad again I wondered what the odds would be of that Farsi and German speaking construction manager stumbling across our ( must - read for the construction industry ) website vacancies page in his quest for employment ........ (o:
It’s the same advert - word for word
Something surreal about these African parliaments .... (o:

Nowt ..... PMSL ..(o:
Indeed .....do you believe lightning can strike twice......(o:
They were in the process of finalising certain financial arrangements five weeks back ...... I’d suggest you’ll gain more of an insight into the situation from reading the Ghanaian press that Fowlers RNS output .....|o:
That 20% request is a pipe dream imo ... MPS would be crazy to have GPHA anywhere near the port ..... I’d say the fat cats are more interested in securing their own future than that of the workforce ....MPS nicely wrong footed them when they offered jobs plus training ..........
of the same from GPHA & MDU .....

The notion that releasing ( pre contract) what would ultimately be ambiguous and vaigue numbers will make any difference to the SP is wishful thinking imo .......Fowlers earning projections are demonstrably unreliable ,so anything other than a succinct and unambiguous contract announcement will rightfully viewed as more bull$hit...........as we all know if he has something to shout about he generally does ..........|o:
The following is worth a read as it lays out GPHA’s beef , make of it what you will.

My own opinion is GPHA will have to like it or lump it as the MPS contract will be cast iron...|o:
MPS won’t place any LT contracts until they have visibility / clarity on their own contract ...which it appears they don’t .........
bother setting the clock for tomorrow morning ...........|o:
