Had a short conversation with the new BOD this morning. They were keen to get an investors view on the new deal and were the ones that requested this. Another investor who has spent a lot of time and effort on this stock was also involved. As some know, I have been invested in Solo for near on 10 years and have had many a battle with the old Board in order to protect investors interests as well as my own considerable investment.
This new Board come across as totally professional and I genuinely feel they are really keen to bring serious value to existing holders. They are fully aware long term holders have had a really rough ride and are keen to put things right as soon as possible. I suggested a London investor evening would be a great way to spread the word and give investors an opportunity to make their own minds up as to the calibre of new Board. Hopefully this will happen soon.
I also requested investors were given ample time to arranged funds should they which to participate in the open offer. To often these days, companies give only a few hours notice to sort their funds out. The Board assured me this would not be the case.
They are aware dilution is never popular with existing shareholders, but I have a feeling the re rate will well make up for this inconvenience.
No sensitive information was shared with us and we did not ask for any. It was just such a nice change for a Board to take the time to get a Shareholders view on news.
The tide has finally changed at last in my humble opinion. GLA
