Good couple of interviews from new CEO. Increased revenues and gross margins so heading in the right direction. Though I think not yet sufficient to cover operational costs so good to hear him mention cost control. Expecting Q3 trading update in next few weeks, may give a lift to SP.
Now that Laiker/Cooke have 10%+, I think that the BoD will be protected at AGM as most SHs don't vote and therefore be able to push thru their agenda, whatever that may be.
Subsequent to the year end, on 2 September 2022, Vela announced a strategic update to shareholders in which, the board outlined the reinstatement of the previous strategic plans from 2019 in which Vela would be seeking other larger corporate transactions but would not divert from its current investing policy.
Why not divert when current investing policy is a massive failure?
SGS - The contract gives the Company a right to future economic benefits and has been classified as a financial asset measured at fair value through profit and loss. The directors estimate that the contract will not be realised within 12 months of the reporting date and so the asset has been classified as non-current.
Final Results were released on 30/09 last year so expect any day now. Followed by quarterly investment update in next few weeks. Can't imagine either update will make for pleasant reading.
I would expect any sale to be conditional with a smaller upfront payment followed by milestone payments on further trial results, regulatory approvals & commercialisation with backend royalties. Get the initial capital back and then move on. Will also be happy with 8% of £400m.
The Company continues to monitor the development of its maiden investment with Excalibur under the Co-Investment Agreement. Results to date have been positive as the Excalibur team progress commercialisation discussions with the preference being that of a trade sale.
Roy, you are right, Vela bought 6m @ 5p, the recent sales last week were dumped for 3.15p / 3.75p. They would need to RNS by now if they were the sellers. Silly investment anyway after being scammed!
Buckle up, I believe the last of the warrants expire this Friday. That is for 833m @ .125p which totals just over £1m+. This could be the start of a mega pump to take them out. Wishful thinking but it is all we got for now :-)
Lord Sutch you are correct. It is stated on both pages 2 and 16 that SGS disposed of Vela shares to Conduit. SGS issued a TR1 for the disposal but Conduit did not issue TR1 for the acquisition, question is do they still retain this holding?
