Nominee Accs totals 82.50% incl Christopher Cooke at 6.86%. No other individual beneficial holder held more than 3% of the Company’s total issued ordinary shares. I find this comment rather curious, does specific mention of individual suggest that a corp or legal entity may own > 3%. Possibly referring to the 1.1bn (6.77%) SGS shares trf'd to Conduit and 0.97bn (6.02%) Laiker/Bixx Shares trf'd to ???

Another quarter ends and expect another disappointing set of results to be reported in a few days/weeks/months. I make it that total assets decreased further during the quarter by £420k (6.7%) from £6.27m to ~£5.85m. Hope they spend the £50k cash wisely!
Nothing to see here, move on...

Why Novus not reporting this?
TSP going nowhere, down 80% overall on this investment.

Ideally, if the Conduit ipo happens and is successful, it would be a good catalyst to review and restructure the portfolio i.e. dump the rubbish and focus on a smaller group of core shares, probably about half the current holdings, imo.
"The disappointing result for the quarter, reversing the positive result of the previous quarter, reflects the poor state of the quoted markets generally and the market's continuing abstention from the small cap sector in particular. Vela remains of the view that many of the businesses in which it is invested are materially undervalued. As a result of these under-valuations and poor liquidity, Vela is of necessity taking a longer-term view than it would prefer. Vela's ability to hold for the long term, however, will, the Board believes, enable it to reap the benefits when market conditions improve."
Why put the company in the position of having to either sell off these undervalued investments or do a placing? Basically the Board is taking a punt that investing £250k in Tribe will provide a better return that these 2 options. If that statement truly is their fundamental belief on the market, then what the heck were they playing at by buying and flipping ENET - nothing makes sense here.
SGS have now published their Dec 2021 Accounts. A couple of noteworthy points.
Page 2 Achievements and Performance:- Discussions with potential partners for AZD1656 were conducted with several progressing to due diligence stage.
Wow, maybe a deal was a lot closer than we thought, but why did they not proceed? An occasional update to inform SH of this specific progress would have been nice rather than the more generic commercial discussions in progress. Imagine what that would have dome to the SP.
Note 17:- During the period, the charity held 1.1bn shares at £0.001 per share in Vela Technologies Plc on behalf of Conduit Pharmaceuticals Limited, who had beneficial ownership. These shares were transferred into the name of Conduit Pharmaceuticals Limited on 14 September 2021.
OK, we already know this but does Conduit still own these shares and for what purpose (and where is the TR1)?
Possibly, if some of CC's investor mates jump on board as well, now that would bring some excitement here. What about Laiker, will he return and buy back at 50% discount to his 0.04p sale? They both declared within 10 days of each other last time. Watch this space.
Vela stated intention is to sell Conduit shares presumably at earliest opportunity and it seems long before any future development/commercialisation of AZD1656. Isn't the game here simply to cash in the £4m and move on? Or do you think that Vela will keep some/all of the investment in Conduit Shares?
It is estimated that in the event that the Option is exercised, the Consideration Shares will represent approximately 0.66% of the enlarged share capital of Murphy (assuming no redemptions in Murphy). It is the intention of Vela, subject to the necessary regulatory requirements of NASDAQ, then to sell the Consideration Shares in order to augment its cash reserves. The Consideration Shares will not be subject to any lock-in restrictions.
Hi Jimmy, good info on Quell. Has your research picked up on the SANCTIONS applied to EML Shareholder Chlodwig Enterprises and various associated persons/entities? The wider issue is does this impact whether Conduit can associate or do a deal with EML? And what say Vela about this with their indirect interest thru Igraine?
Hindsight would suggest otherwise, AAA delisted for ~2 years, makes Vela look like a well oiled machine..!!!
