Jayber, I think there are plenty of holders who have stopped contributing as they are fed up with all the greens! They are probably still following though. We all know Tingo doesn't look good, we all know that junior explorers may raise through placings from time to time, but the prospects in Botswana and especially in Zambia outweigh this (imo). For my own part I don't filter the trolls, I just ignore them. I took another £10k worth this morning.
Yes, it would have been better to bite the bullet, probably raising more cash and put it to work (although I doubt if many of us would have agreed at the time).
For me the worrying thing is that we are due an operational update. If that is going to be good news, why raise now; why not raise at a higher price post-update? Similarly, why raise now if discussions re non dilutive funding are progressing well. It does suggest progress is some way off.
Whatever, I'm continuing to hold as I still think the long term prospects are good.
When I was researching JAY in more detail than I do now, I used this site on a regular basis: https://nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/#:~:text=Sea%20Ice%20Index%20data.,satellite%20record%20(Figure%201a).
It's updated daily and you get a monthly write up.
Interesting redknight, about when the rot set in. I can't help wondering if he knew/suspected then that Dundas was going to come to nothing and sold a load while he could, but that is purely speculation on my part. Bear in mind that although the long term hope was for Disko, the potential value of the company in the short/medium term was always Dundas.
Then he resigned the day before the AGM when shareholders were due to vote on his reappointment. Not so much speculation needed there as to the reason for his timing; clearly the big shareholders had had enough. The mystery to me about his return now, is why anyone would have anything to do with a company which he is involved in.
Usually in agreement with you Seis, but I'm very confident that DG is not an account created to deramp ARCM.
As for the rest, I think it's true that Arc are slow to communicate bad news but you have to decide whether it's going to be worth a ride that is sometimes bumpy. I choose to stay.
I agree; I think we'd have had notice of an extension if they weren't practically there, but I'm guessing like everyone else.
quite right cigam. i suspect one reason why they haven't hired a proper cfo is that they would have to pay them a salary, but that would be better than these ****ups, of which last friday was the latest. personally, i don't think ajaye can be blamed for posting here as he did. somewhat unorthodox i agree, but if he hadn't, when was he going to get his shares?
Hmm. I'm not a great believer in companies responding to every negative comment, but this might call for an immediate response.
Exactly so Fulmar. Anyone new here should understand that responding simply feeds them.
Quite. His last 63 posts have all been on ARCM. If he wants to save people from making bad investments, surely there must be some other companies which he could warn people about too.
I understand where you're coming from Dartron and nomlunga, but remember the objective of the company right from the start was to 'buy and build' and that is exactly what they have done and are continuing to do. I suppose there comes a time with this approach when you reach a maximum or optimum size and it's a question of when that time is reached. This deal will make SRC a £1bn company, comparable to Breedon for example. Clearly it is an investment for the long term though.
Re directors being in Idaho, let's not forget they are playing to an American audience as well as to us. It wouldn't be surprising perhaps to see an intra day announcement one afternoon very soon.
Steve, several of us predicted that the trolls wouldn't stop once the deal was done; they would simply shift the narrative, and so it has proved. Just wait until the assay from the first hole doesn't prove a tier 1 deposit, they'll have a field day!
As elephants go, that's not very big.

Black Rock's project is a pretty big one, but it will take time.
Since the China announcement this private equity fund has announced that it's investing in graphite: https://www.mining.com/appian-invests-in-us-graphite-focused-firm-urbix/
Urbix is a US company: https://urbixresources.com/
I wouldn't be at all surprised if TGR have already received enquiries from potential backers.

Tirupati quoted in this article.
Re SP not rocketing yet, this is going to come in stages imo. The rise this week suggests some knew already (the people doing the drilling for starters), so to an extent the news was priced in. Drilling already is a huge bonus and I daresay more details will be forthcoming on the drilling programme in the coming days. Then news on progress should result in a steady rise over the medium term.
Controversial, but I'm actually with you on this Ant provided that any raise is at an appropriate price. Who knows, they might even manage it at a small premium. The alternative is for Arc to do nothing for 3 years apart from wait whilst Anglo get on with the work.
