No deal must be the most likely outcome now, probably following a General Election - fairly pointless of me to point it out but MTRO would be the least affected as they have no international exposure. I speculated awhile ago that US investors might be waiting for $ parity to step in with a bid here or at the very least take a position (25% cheaper just on exchange rate), I would not blame them for holding off.

The only positive to take from this Mrc is that the price is over £2 following the increase so in theory they would have to add more shorts to drop the price further from here. I have given up trying to determine their appetite buy surely given the shares potentially available they must be near/at their peak - I suppose we will have to wait and see.

No gg - the FCA are not known for their speed - you would hope that they would appreciate the urgency of a report but they will work to their own timeframe and have no regard to the issues of shareholders.

To be honest I have read enough of click bait articles giving out of date, often unfounded speculation or simply repeating similar articles from others - I will read the RNS’s as they come out - they are the only source of reliable information.

That is not their job sud - the BofE have already confirmed that the capital requirements are adequate. Don’t really follow why you believe that shareholders will be screwed, we are certainly being exploited but a lot of the blame for that rests with how we are trading.

I certainly agree that resolution with the FCA will be a significant point cud but the hype surrounding it is totally disproportionate to the reality. It is not the job of the FCA to screw over a company they will be much more concerned that any reporting processes or procedures that were in error have been corrected - a fine if indeed there is one will not be significant and nothing like the fear of it that is currently reflected within the SP.

Presumably you use an online trading platform to buy and sell your shares sw - that will give you current prices - this site give you the SP delayed by 15 mins.

Pat I don’t think I have ever read a more robust statement from a Chairman - much appreciated - especially as it would potentially leave him and the company open to shareholder action if anything was incorrect - he/they are very confident and so am I.

Are you sure about that Z - that would potentially put the lender into a very bad position if they then had to buy back the stock?

Well I think it is pretty easy for a judge to dismiss the dismissal hearing but we should take it as a very good sign that they want to think it over.

I have no steady earners Deos as I invest generally against the market. There are many opportunities out there I just try and occasionally find some that work but my advise if it is worth anything is not to follow what I do but look at the early risers every day and buy those - unfortunately you are like me and like a gamble and in which case you will possibly prefer to look at those that are the biggest fallers and if you like the company and the sector watch and wait and then invest. I notice that you mention FRES as one of your choices - a great PM play that has gold as a stable and silver in abidance - probably your best bet - suffering. - 23rd results should see a big lift - hope so.

I mean no disrespect as it is certainly a good wage but on the investments - and losses you are making you need to slow down. Forget anything about hints - the days when the market worked like that have long gone. Watch and follow - you don’t need to go in large all at once - the trend is your friend. I believe MTRO is oversold - the shorters have gone in deep, they are good at what they do but lowering the price is only half the job they have to buy back to exit and they are fighting big egos and deep pockets here. We have a good, expanding business, producing a small profit. My own view on an investment that is, for better or worse multiples of yours is that this will come good. I have given up guessing when and have certainty questioned myself as the shorters continually manage to reduce the price but I am not selling as I absolutely believe this will come good. I get frustrated by the constant speculation on this board - hold hard and wait it out.

You must be great at IT sales. You have picked some of the absolute worst stocks, I am very pleased you still have the money to invest. I am a contrarian investor and that means I buy against the trend. I am not qualified to give you any advice - goodness knows I have made my fair share of mistakes but go in slower, do more research - watch and wait, protect your capital, it is hard to make and easy to loose. I have absolutely no right to preach to anyone but reading your posts across many boards that I am invested it just seems that you may sometimes lack conviction, not by the level of your investment which is always significant but more on why you have invested. Take a little more time, you have obviously made money in doing what you know, use those skills to identify opportunities where your knowledge and skills give you an edge. As you mention IT have a look at FDBK - seems like a good idea - I do not have a good track record in this sector but have invested - I would appreciate your view.

deos - I must admit you are a total enigma to me - I really struggle to understand your trading. You have evidently done very well in life - I know this is absolutely none of my business but where did you make your money?

Hi MrN, I am sure you are aware that once a holder acquires more than 3% they have to notify the market each time they add (or reduce) and cross a % threshold so the idea of secretly accumulating shares in the background is a bit of an impossibility. We will either see a string of TR1’s (and the market will begin to move) or an offer will be announced out of the blue with agreement in principle from major shareholders.

It will not mean any of those thing so don’t worry - HH pointed out that AMGO have received the necessary approvals. You have mentioned before your concern about AMGO having a significant shareholder in the background - it is not something I am wild about but it is not a secret - for me the pro’s for this share outweigh the negatives but if you are concerned then sell - lots of other opportunities in the market.

I really hope that this turns out to be the best investment you or any of us have made Pac but I very very much doubt you are going to know that by Monday or even a week on Monday.

Telegraph reports that AMGO have reported themselves for being in breach of the listing rules in that less than 25% of the stock available to the market. Shoddy but presumably not that difficult to correct.
