ODX have already confirmed that they anticipate use for home testing will be agreed at the same time as other approvals obtained leading to announcement of Sovereign test.

I’m no fan of Sturgeon but it is ridiculous to suggest that rhetoric will stop Govt from ordering from a Scottish based company.

I have to agree with you Kevin, I believe the tweet cost us 20% this morning but it will come. A lot of news to come and a TR1 will underpin the price.

Wolf, I understand how you feel and have been there myself many times in the past. The market, particularly AIM never seems to act as it should but you have not invested unwisely, believe in your research. I do not anticipate such a big swing although we have been set up for it, I do believe that the co remains significantly undervalued and the SP will shortly reflect a true and improved position. ATB

OK so I have now had the opportunity to read through the contract. As you would expect belt and braces. Section 3 covers commercial terms but calculation of costs in Appendix 1 is redacted so the 18% profit figure identified could mean anything and therefore be just OK or brilliant - we cannot determine that and therefore I am going to maintain my faith in Colin that this is a great deal. The rental for the machinery is £1 and we get the opportunity to buy at end of contract for written down value so cheap.

I remain unhappy with the company issuing a tweet at 10pm on a Friday, none of us deserve that and I believe they were silly and probably manipulated into doing so, my advice is that unless the building is burning down never do this again.

The MM’s may well use this as an excuse to knock the SP early Monday so I would suggest that those of you who have been scared off wait until later in the day to sell if that is what you decide to do. I for one will hold, I believe the actual news is good and that our wait will be rewarded. ATB

But we have not actually been told the number of tests that the £374m might represent - we have anticipated 100m but it could be for less tests at a higher price. I still struggle that an 18% margin will cover the operating costs.

Are you guys suggesting that the 18% is the net profit after all cost and not the gross profit before deduction of costs? That would certainly help. The only other potential upside would be if the £374m was for only a very small element of our production ie the test are for a higher price than we have been speculating, leaving us to sell the rest of our production through our own brand at a much higher margin.

Struggling a little to get my head around this - although unnecessary and in many ways unwelcome I am not overly concerned by the clarification that ODX are still waiting for the official confirmation and purchase orders, they will come very soon. What I am more perplexed about is the 18% profit margin identified within the contract, I have read that section and it is there (page 64), I just don’t believe that can be enough. With 250 staff the wage bill alone is probably over £10 m per annum and there are other considerable costs to take into account. I haven’t the stomach to read through the whole contract but some have indicated that the 18% is just for the preliminary pre full manufacture stage, certainly hope so but I will read the whole thing over the weekend and hopefully get a better view. In the meantime I hope that ODX do something to calm us and before the market opens on Monday otherwise I to fear that they have handled the shareholder expectations very badly and that is not something I want to be true. Although this is a vehicle to comment on shares I feel drawn into this debate.

The sooner we radically change the parliamentary system the better. We complain of sleeve then pay salaries that are just too low to attract the type of people that we really want in politics. PM salary should be doubled, he may get other benefits but these are all taxed on his P11D, yes including the rent he may have otherwise paid on the flat. Abolishing or drastically reducing the number of members in the House of Loads seems is an obvious first step but I would go further and reduce the number of MP’s down to 200 ish but then have constituency based representatives perhaps as an apprenticeship for full MP status - paid less but living and working full time in the constituency and acting as a conduit to the MP’s who are based in Parliament full time. Restructure the normal working day of Parliament to a more normal profile and remove the subsidies for attendance. Accept that we should pay from the public purse for the political parties, probably based on the number of votes achieved removing the Conservative Party need for business donors (and the favours this may elicit) and the Labour Party dependency on appeasing their union backers. I could go on but this is probably not the place.

And of course now I can but it’s 2p more!

Surely this is a contract to manufacture the machinery that the LFT producers need to supply the product?

Is it just me or was that all very slow? To produce 2m test per day and assuming a 12 hour day with no breaks they would need to be completing 2777 test per minute - I was expecting more action even if there are multiple machines. Anyway good to see the finished item.

I have found some more money and added - as I already own about as many shares as Colin I am not going to say topped up as that feels a little flippant. Following the tweets I was expecting a RNS this morning but I am sure it will be coming, everything has been geared up towards the announcement - this week or next it is coming and we can finally all relax and let the company get on with the job. Thank you MB, I still believe the future is bright and that we will sell everything we can manufacture. I also believe that the use of LFT will continue for some considerable time to come and not just for Covid related issues but now the genie is out of the bottle we will commonly use them to diagnose many more ailments - Covid has given the industry a massive boost and it is now much more credible. In the meantime I will sit on my loss, grumble that even after many years in the market I continue to repeat my own mistakes and wait for happier days.

Not surprisingly I agree with you MB. My issue is of course is that it appears I went in too heavily on early promise and now sit on a substantial loss with no more funds to invest at what seems to be ludicrous prices. My own problem I acknowledge, I was eager to buy earlier and have done so for the last 12 months convinced that confirmation of substantial news was just around the corner. I am not selling but admit to some frustration of the position I find myself in. ATB.

Well that must be a positive, the more antibody testing the better. I believe we supply 25% of any orders from this source.
