Looks like I will take profit from any air-head rise in IAG and buy back in again early June. The politics of this is very damaging for our travel industry. And expect many, many years of this as the EU lobby within our own country continues to work to stop independent action. If the EU and it's supporters don't bow out, it will end up with live ammunition being used.

If this is true, bear in mind it is from the Mirror, then this is a serious blow to opening up travel in the near term. The Mirror is predicting a reshuffle as far away as July. That means the EU lobby and travel restriction lobby has control. But this should perhaps be taken with a very large pinch or salt as this is quite a long winded prediction. But it is not looking good for a big green list and removal of PCR test for May travel.

I never look at foreign cross exchange deals, always get bitten in currency exchange - too many noses in the trough taking a cut. I suppose if you are trading with millions of pounds and have currency accounts in both countries you can mitigate playing the forex game over over a few days. Way too much like hard work for me. If the BBC really did use the hocky stick graph again as proof of temperature increases then frankly they are knowingly and consciously lying openly. This would be a case to suspend their license to broadcast for any other subject. It is the equivalent of spending a decade trying to convince people that if the north pole melts sea level will rise despite the Archimedes principle. I will be interested to see if anybody publicly calls out this Shuckman. Typically such people lie so freely because there is no cross-examination or answer back. It might also be one of many tricks used to 'smoke out deniers' so they can be targeted for removal from policy positions, research positions, professional registration, community influencers, product specialists, anybody working in any form of environmental related discipline and placed on the broadcast blacklist to ensure they do not ever raise challenges or cast doubt on the narrative in the public domain.

Load of rubbish? Many academics were hounded out of their posts at the start of the great of great lie. You are vetted in all branches of mass media during assessment to ensure you sign up to the narrative. All people who raise questions, no matter how minor, not with the narrative are removed. ON PCR return leg tests, said there was speculation that this will be relaxed for green countries. Meanwhile the war in cabinet is heating up. Before it was so bad I was expecting resignations but then certain travel corridors were suddenly closed despite no qualifying evidence, such as Dubai.

I predict that if Boris stands firm this time then Europhiles like Han**** might just walk this time. The EU commission wants the UK to delay opening up travel until the EU decides when it is allowable. Boris can not continue appeasing this lobby group. His best solution is to reshuffle so he can move the Europhiles out and then decisions such as green list countries and removing PCR test requirements can be made independently by the UK alone!

To the earlier poster, methane from Bovines is insignificant compared to the single largest source of methane, which is decaying plankton in the south seas. Then we continue down the list of probable green house gases to the carbon dioxide sources - volcanoes and active faults release huge amounts, then you have natural coal burning under ground and there is a surprising amount of that going on. Man's contribution from burning fossil fuels is pathetic against planet size gas releases, it is incredibly tiny. Once you get your head around the effective contributions and note the fact that photosynthesis responds to co2 natural changes you start to realise what a pile of crap all this climate change nonsense is. I fully appreciate the extent of absolutism reporting in the mass media can look very convincing. But the numbers just do not add up.

Actually I've just realised there are no PMQs next week because the house isn't sitting. I've been out of the loop to long! 11th May is a key date because that is when the next session starts. In which case it would still be the same remit re timing for PMQs, so Boris can dominate the session with the travel news as a good news spin. But I still think I will be selling next week as the PCR test is a major sticking point no matter what it costs with horror stories about boarder delays. I have been convinced the full reopening has been set back to mid June.

I need to keep a closer eye on the diaries. Problem is when you go back into this sort of trading you can't do it by half, you have to researched far and wide to get the full 360.

It was announced back on April 9th [not 12th] that which countries would be on what lists in early May. They haven't 'missed' any deadline. The early May is now taken to be the 1st week based on snippets of info and public comments from people involved. Based on when PMQs is I am going to guess any announcement will be before PMQs and there will be a lot of spin on it. On inspection it will look pretty weak. I believe the 'real' full opening up of international travel has been pulled back to the June milestone and I privately informed that this is due to holding back to allow Europe to catch up with vaccinations to some degree to bring the UK and EU into alignment. In fact, the big opening up might even be set back to July for that reason unless there is a major cabinet reshuffle and the Europhiles are finally kicked out. It is why I am going to stop waiting and start trading and my finger will be hovering over the sell button on Tuesday - I may have left it too late though.

If the travel list is a good news story, it will be announced before PMQs. However, if there is no announcement, then it leaves Boris vulnerable to an ambush on the issue during PMQs. Given how media loves to big up a story knowing there is definitely going to be an announcement or change of policy ahead of time so it looks like it was the media that influenced and changed the agenda, if Boris finds himself saying on Wednesday that his right honerurrurrururrable colleague will be making an announcement latter, then the media storm will increase until the announcement is going to be made looking like the government is being led and not leading events.

Therefore, I expect the travel list, or at least the green countries, to be announced on Tuesday. And it looks very likely that the PCR test is set in stone until a review in June. I expect I will be dumping both Easy Jet with a decent profit and IAG at a small loss on Tuesday. Then I will be doing a buy in when it looks like the inevitable drop bottoms out ready for the big spike we've all been waiting for for some time when PCR tests are lifted in the June review [we hope].

This whole vacc passport and travel testing has melted into a terrible mess of competing lobby groups, opportunist scientists, fear of the unknown, fear of success and all the other frailties of rudderless leadership. Seems government has retreated to the same place as almost all others before it - more concerned about what the media might say about it rather than just getting on with the job. Bring back Maggie!

This is a problem with investors like you Johnbri. You keep very blinkered and very narrow minded views on what may influence a share price. Having to take onboard a wider set of variables that actual have a far greater impact on what underpins a stock is just too much work for you. It is not for you to delete the discussion of the wider set of variables because they do not suite you.

And are you going to answer the questions I posed regarding your hydrogen powered aeroplane? Or did I hit the nail so squarely on easily on the head about the true underlying nature of your enterprise that you now feel a little uncomfortable? Relax man, it is a 'green' project. You can milk millions and millions for it without any question or cross-reference and be trail blazers with massive salaries demonstrating what a brave new and well paid world all these green jobs will provide. Go for it, minimum salary for the office junior £65000. Pocket the money as fast as it can be thrown out of the government coffers.

THe coverage of what might be on the travel list and questions on the arrangements for testing is ramping up in the media.

If the PCR test remains for the return leg, the return to travel will be very much reduced. The noises are not good on that with the transport secretary believing a £45 test as great news. Knowingly knackering the rate of return will serve the purposes of the lockdown lobby who have now settled into a comfortable place and every move to open up back to precovid will be a fight.

This is one of the things feeding into the coordinate attack on the Boris. It is clear he is still holding red lines against EU attempts to force Britain to back peddle on various diktats such as being ruled by EU regulations in return for open border with NI. Solution. I would recommend Boris to undergo a wide spread cabinet reshuffle. Those who are still trying to align the UK policies with the EU should be chucked out. Those who seem to have settled into lockdown rather than straining to return to normality should also be chucked out, not just demoted. The war in Downing street is having now very significant external consequences.

Think it through, a major scandal is presented where the redecoration of the PMs residence was deliberately not met by the public purse. IF the public had footed the bill, then have a scandal.
