Russia will be a pariah state under extreme sanctions as long a Putin is in power. Nothing he says or does will be trusted. He will be removed from power very soon as the larger part of Russia looks for an exit from the mess he has created. The process is most likely underway. Putin must be removed. An extremely contrite leader takes place accepting whatever sanction is imposed by the UN.

As long as the likes of Marcon give sucker to Putin, Putin will continue to think he is a player and has leverage. It's not so much a case that the French haven't learned anything, it is more a case they continue to focus on what they can profit out of the war. As with the Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, it is all about the selfish interest of the French irrespective who is getting killed or their age.

As for nato, the US cannot operate without the UK and that is a basic fact. UK ground forces undercover provide most of the targeting for US aircraft, reccy, command and control, and other specific target operation. I can't remember where at the moment but the US got itself involved in something but the UK wasn't getting involved and the US forces did not do a good job without the British on the ground. Was it Mogadishu? UK and US have close common interests which is why we are frequently fighting together. But the US needs the UK.

This really is grasping at straws now. There is no way BJ has Zelensky as a puppet. What is BJ's leverage? Some with weapons supplies to defend the territory but it is much smaller than say US or compared to the gross world contribution. Zelensky might agree with BJ's and others assessments but it is even more fantasy to believe this instructs anybody.

mmm.. no matter how the propaganda is dressed up, there is always a slip up to give the game away. BJ absolutely does not speak for France and Germany nor Europe. The idea BJ was pushing Zelevansky one way or another as the west leader is just ridiculous. EU, FR and GR hate the UK with a passion because of Brexit and have spent all of the war doing what they can to exclude the UK from the coalition!!! And everything about Zelevansky tells me he is getting a lot of advice round the world and based on the success of the Ukrainian defence he needs nobody to tell him he has the upperhand.

In fact, let's get what the roxy/Kremlin line actually is.

You want Ukraine to be left defenseless so the 'military operation' can be carried out unopposed. You want Ukraine, and other nations, to not be helped in anyway to defend themselves. You expect the rest of the world to stand aside, do nothing, and watch the bodies of innocent children grow higher and higher.

Is that correct? Because I can not see any actual thing the west could actually do other than turn a blind eye to the naked Russian aggression.

I think there was a lot of that before Feb 24th with all manner of western leaders and ministers queueing up at the Kremlim. Russia was going to invade Ukraine no matter what and that was the key lesson from immense diplomatic efforts pre-war. And then Russia didn't have any pause having made a point, it just kept killing and killing and killing the innocent. No wonder so many countries have eventually sent help. How many envoys have tried to get peace talks going only to emerge letter complaining about the sheer intransigent Russian position. What was the response the head of the UNs effort, Russia bombed Kyiv whilst he was still there!

NOTHING anybody in the west, east, north or south can do to stop this. All efforts have been expended. It is, and it always was, a 100% Russian call. A coup is required and will ultimately take place.

And for one Laverov seems to have been speaking a truth, no all to war. Well, a least not in 'this' speech. What happens in the next speech remains to be seen.

I take in all these reports and commentaries. A critical assessment is whether there has been editorial oversight. I don't reference rubbish like these self-promoting video blogs because as they progres a range of clues crop up indicating the interviews and pictures become questionable. In fact the conspiracy theory is so overdone it becomes tired and very samey. That stuff gets dismissed and not worthy of input. These blogs are seen, considered and rejected. You have to come to terms with that.
