I was wondering about that as well TL. So you reckon that now won't happen as they've have more of an outlay on components and other expenditures? Whether they go cash flow positive in the middle of this year or in Q1 2021 is not a big deal to me but I wonder if the market will think the same?

Nobody knows yet baz. When Nigel we speaking after the last AGM he said they get approached with loads of ideas from all sorts of places.. universities / other early stage pharma etc. At the time he said they were not interested as they were putting all their efforts behind Nuvec, but this has clearly changed and they are now open to evaluating other projects.. but could be anything really, not necessarily nanotechnology.

Yep hopefully this is just a short term weakness. They've moved it down but still no quote to sell even 1k shares, MMs don't want them

Well it's certainly frozen the price.. you can't sell any and there don't seem to be buyers.

Yep seems positive and indicates a rapidly growing company with plenty going on. They still have the additional £1.5m at hand which sounds like it's going to get utilised ahead of schedule as well

I'm not convinced there's going to be a trading update considering we had one in December. I very much doubt things have changed sufficiently since then as to warrant another update which doesn't contain material news on contracts / revenue. Maybe they'll just go with the new chairman RNS then update the market as and when developments occur?

I'm not sure longy has missed the point about the sector at all. The sector is very active and exciting with lots of investor interest and coverage .. as he points out, the SP of Ethernity has drifted about with no purpose - you'd expect that more investors would have joined the dots and we would be pushing the SP higher just on expectation. "They will sell nothing until the user needs the product" - it could well be that competitors are adapting and making products for the clients specifications and not waiting for the market to adapt to them? Playing devils advocate a bit, but my feet are getting wrinkly sitting on this surfboard waiting for the big wave..

Let's hope the ads are a leading indicator of some news then, or maybe some more investor interest .. because at the moment nobody else in the world seems to care very much for this little company despite our concerted efforts to spread the word!

Lol yes forgot about that, I've never trusted anything a CEO says ever since.

They don't give timings because they've been successfully stringing people along with the old 'news rich period' for quite some time now. The session I was on with Nigel (Leister was also on the same call) he said exactly the same thing so it's no wonder old Danny Baker has been through so many aliases on here.. he's been saying 'news can drop at any time' on repeat because he seems to believe Nigel is some kind of deity. I would not place too much significance as it's a trial and trials can go in your favour or against. However, it is undeniably good news to be part of it and it may lead to other business even if they are not selected. That's just my way of looking at it as I don't like pinning my hopes on something where there are a multitude of factors that can go against you .. even if Ethernity may have the best product

Hmm yes let's not have this as one of those boards where you can't mention any negative observations. There are some very valid things to say on that (e.g maybe David isn't going to win any prizes for 'best director talk presentation' in 2021) but we all know that 3 month gaps between news is a bit of a killer. I'm not sure we'll get another trading update considering we had that blockbuster one in early December but it would be good to see some financials and a nice bullish statement from the new chairman!

Hi Sergi, I've spoken to Mark and David on many occasions (I always attend the AGM so have spoken in person as well as on email) and the impression I get is always bullish but not aggressively so. I've not discussed Silicom with them but maybe it's a bit of local rivalry? Certainly David and Mark are competitive people and it's more than possible that Enet products get pitched against those of Silicom .. I'm not sure it's a negative point that the executives of the company you're invested want to win!

Maz - he doesn't like people pointing out his previous aliases.. he'll be frantically hitting the 'report post' button to try and get it removed.. and hugh can blame him.. lol

Uhlf I think you're probably right re: liquidity - they have to maintain an orderly market and there's not the appetite for shares in this current lull so would have to hold off. Some good points today, it's quite nerve shredding owning shares here sometimes due to the gaps between contracts etc, but I still believe it's worth hanging in there despite the doubts and the comments today have been useful in keeping the spirits up!

Seems like an odd size, that trust has over a billion under management I can't see how an investment of under a million quid is going to move the needle. Would be great if they went over 3% as loads of people follow HRI
