FWIW I've owned N4 shares for almost a year and am now about flat, which is obviously a bit disappointing. As for bringing up other shares I'm invested in, that's a bit uncalled for surely? Yes I'm invested in enet and it is going very badly, happy to admit I've been wrong there. But you'll also notice from your little investigation that I comment on other shares that have been much more successful. You can't win em all as they say..

Not sure you'll ever know, but my view would be not in this case. Market Markers aren't trying to stitch people up when a crap RNS comes out like that, they are just reacting to heavy selling volume.. it just so happened that people were willing to hit 10 bids but there were also people looking to try and catch the falling knife at that level. If they had got it wrong the price would have bounced, but all it's done is fall back even further. Also I don't think the potential remains unchanged - with sildenafil you now have significant doubt over its validity plus you're going to have to wait a lot longer for it, so that means the investment case has altered.

Yes for me it is long term, but it does concentrate the mind somewhat when a stock you've got your hard earned money in craters by 80% in the space of a few months. It makes it a very long road back - I have averaged down but this is now below cash value. I'm not sure I've ever had the pleasure of a stock of mine being so unloved..

HOWEVER .. I don't think it would be. Investors like Gervais at Miton have a much longer timescales than 1 year. I'm sure there will be some fairly strong worded emails being sent to David Levi though .. at the end of the day he has to understand that managing a listed company is a whole new world to how he used to run Ethernity.

Let's take Miton as an example just for arguments sake - they have around 1.5 million shares. If they decided to sell on the open market that would crush the share price for weeks on end - average daily volume over the past 30 days is just under 60k shares. If they sent the order with a 25% volume cap that's 15k shares a day or 100 trading days to fully execute!

Totally agree - they've made an absolute shambles of it since listing. Despite being encouraged by David when I went to the AGM it doesn't seem like anything is going to change. As you say, the product could be a world beater but how the hell would we know.. I'm not going to sell out of anger because then I'd just be angry that I lost money on the investment. I rue the day I heard about Ethernity!

I think I know what you mean gustavio - without getting into a huge rant, it's kind of part of the CEO's remit to promote his/her company and to be enthusiastic about their products (obviously within reason). The problem seems to arise from the fairly modern phenomenon of these chat boards - the words of the CEO get skewed and information is mistreated and manipulated to suit the view of the poster. I'd love to know how much actual effect they have on an SP but it's fair to say that some people have bought/sold/held shares off the back of what is written on forums like this. It's quite problematic for micro-caps like N4 as volatility can be quite destructive and also self fulfilling. Sadly for N4 what started off as quite a promising investment is now a bit of a keyboard warriors dream where any sensible discussion is overruled by shouts of 'buy the dip' or 'this is way oversold' and trying to make a quick buck. Maybe I'll take a sabbatical from LSE and see if that improves my outlook ..

The 188,453 delayed from earlier was below the bid. I suppose it did rise on quite small volume so can't complain when it falls back a bit..

Do you think people are honest and truthful when they're sat behind a keyboard? Everyone has a preferred outcome for their investments and some people sink to pretty low levels in order to achieve them. Anyway, we'll agree to disagree. But I still think these comments from people create more questions rather than drawing a line under it. If Nigel's response to hughwilson is factual, it is immediately (at least for me) obvious to question why their old broker was unwilling to produce any research for them.

call me cynical scott but taking at face value what some bloke says on a chat board isn't a great tactic if you want to make money.. this share now trading with a 7 handle when people on here were talking it up from the mid-20's.. pinch of salt required if you ask me.

..I actually agree with chartist. What's the motivation for changing nomad then? Even if there's no fundraise it looks a bit off that a major shareholder is ex-Allenby. Also I've seen it before when a PI contacts the CEO and is told that there's no fundraise.. all they mean is nothing 'imminent' and if they do it in a few months then it's not really misinformation.

He has an impressive CV, but I think the suggestion that he knows something could be a presumption too far. He's a tech entrepreneur and clearly quite a wealthy chap so £250k isn't going to break the bank. Simply to have him as a NED is a buy signal enough

not certain that cash wasn't going to be required at some point. they were getting a bit low i think. If so it totally puts the issue to bed and RDT can crack on with signing more million quid contracts..

I think we're going to have to agree to disagree here - I do not classify shares in directors or private investors hands as 'institutional ownership'. If Kestrel or Miton came on board then yes..

I think that's the old Onzima ownership info. Midas are not listed as a substantial shareholder of N4 and they do not show up on my Reuters terminal. Also AJ Bell, Barclays etc are just grouped nominee accounts so that's not really 'institutional ownership'.

Pretty sure it's not that guy - it's a long time ago but I used to work in high yield syndicate at rbs and I vaguely remember him being on the leveraged sales desk. I don't recall him giving any signals that he was particularly high net worth. While he's probably on around 200 basic plus bonus at UBS, I don't think that constitutes being able to chuck a bar at an AIM stock. He's got a very understanding wife if it is him..!
