RE: Down we go...24 May 2026 08:52
Yes Aus,. Most of the posters here won't have a word said against BT. They abuse anyone who does because they have a lot to lose - starting with their jobs and gold-plated pensions. Why do the Bharti Boys want faster change? Because it's not just altnets snapping and the company's heels. It's Starlink. Elon's company currently has over 10,000 low orbit satellites in place, with another 30,000 planned over the next three years. Some posters on here talk about Starlink as though it's rubbish, with satellites falling out of the sky all the time. Not true. One falls to be replaced with three more!. Thy are incinerated as they fall back to earth or guided to empty ocean. The technology is improving continuously. Elon even has is how chips now, surpassing anything Nvidia can produce. And what are BT's plans as the global elite (including he woke generation) start to cannibalise each other. Nothing, apart from FTTH. Sounds remarkably old hat to me! Everything worth selling has already been told off. Unless BT comes to its senses soon and the government allows the Bharti Boys to take over this failing heap of junk and its rid itself of its clueless management team, I can only see dark days ahead. Some here need to wake up to the facts - losing 800,000 customers a year, even with more aggressive cost-cutting, is not going to save BT's bacon. The pension deficit won't be paid off until the 2030s, if then. There are billions in other debt. As Bharti have been saying, change needs to come faster. Out with the old attitudes of the last century. Endless layers of management (still 10 according to one of my contacts). In with people with charisma, talent and vision. That's what BT needs. Not more of the same old BS. They are beginning to sound as bad as the current government. Any excuse. Never the truth.
