I had a quick look at the volumes in the first seven weeks of last year compared to the first seven weeks of this year. The drop off is ridiculous. 371m shares traded in the first seven weeks of last year, 205m this year. Last week was a pathetic 16.4m, which I'd guess is by far the lowest volume ever.

Only one reason why the market makers are consciously reducing liquidity to such a ridiculous extent and it starts with an F!

I was just reading an article in the Daily Mail about Shein and the potential IPO. Not my newspaper of choice but i like to read all the financial press. The article made one passing reference to modern slavery and focussed on how big and popular they are. They even misrepresented UK revenue by claiming two years revenue as one.
