It looks to me like they were totally out of shares and are trying to shake a few free

We don't have 2m cash injection with no dilution.

The dilution will come when the shares are placed at a15% discount to the market price. It also appears that Bennelong are now running the business. Whether that is good or bad who knows, but it explains why there is no CEO

The simple fact is that both HMI and Verde dropped sales massively in 2023 and both missed their guidance massively

That is symptomatic of a market problem not necessarily an individual company one.

Well I'm not a fan of that RNS on first reading, need to go through it again post caffeine, but the drop in sp on the volume traded is ridiculous

Kachrafilter i think the opposite actually happens. The sp is flexed to help Frasers accumulate, the pattern is there to see since they started buying in the middle of last year. There is no reason why Frasers purchase should help the sp rise other than simple supply and demand economics. In a normal scenario, somebody buying 4% of a business in a couple of weeks as Frasers did in January, should cause the sp to rise not fall. The reality is the sp here fell 20%.

Your statement that people will just dump their shares simply isn't supported by the data. Volumes so far this year are a fraction of their historic average, yet overall AIM volumes are up.

Frasers may not get it right here, nobody is infallible, but a billionaire by definition gets it right more often than most

Kat i'd actually assume that all the steps would be done in parallel. To me the FCA approval is the lowest risk item as the key people in GST already have approval for other things and the current owner of Easysend is apparently staying on.

I posted that I wasn't concerned that the Semnet acquisition was taking longer than anticipated as acquisitions are complicated beasts and GST are trying to do lots of things at the same time.

My position here is exactly the same.
