I really dont think Frasers have any intention of making an offer here. Zero chance of it being accepted at a price the skin flint would pay.

When the PLT sale happens, there would be zero need for any "help" from Frasers, other than maybe to partner with bricks and mortar for Debenhams

The point I was making is buy price here is usually significantly higher than the seller price, often by 10-15%. So anybody buying must be confident of atleast that return.

It's strange that your alter ego never mentions that Steve's overall shareholding increased in July , they just mention the sale.

Now that genuinely is misleading information, but you already knew that and have never commented on it.

The update was better than expected.

It's impossible to work out the sale price of PLT at the moment as it depends on how it is sold and to who.

Personally I'd be expecting £150-200m but the size of the loss attributed to PLT was surprising.

Firstly, it wasn't "other people" who bought the shares, it was two other Kodal directors. The buy price was significantly higher than the seller price, so two directors obviously saw a great opportunity to make money at that price.

Secondly, you have no idea whatsoever about Steve's motivation to sell part of his holding.

Finally, Steve hasn't left Kodal.
