I have a lot of time for Americans. They are mostly our ancestors.

Many years ago my wife and I were talking to a lovely elderly American couple in a pub in Howarth. (There for her love of the Bronte`s). A massive fight broke out and their table went over spilling drinks over them. When peace was resumed they had gone. I was going to invite them to come with us the next day on the settle to Carlisle railway the next day as we had enjoyed their company. Alas not to be. My point being there are good and bad world wide. Let he who is without fault eh.

As the house of commons is now full of sneaks, liars and promise breaking failures I don`t see point of voting. I subscribe to the tax equation- Work hard/ over pay to much tax= why work hard.

The Gov has no understanding of R+D. All every Government does is TAX anything successful or in large use. It has taxed beer and spirits to such a point that the industry and pubs in this country are dying. The motorist has long been a target hence most of car manufacture is abroad. Any innovation in this country is swiftly moved abroad to avoid the gov taxing the item to death. Of course there are always those taxes that can not be avoided that the gov runs riot with- council tax. Gone up 5% + near every year for last 25 years.

It really is time for a new party in this country. One that cares for the people living here and does not see them as cash cows. Taxation is ruining and killing this country IMHO. The whole system is geared to relieve you of your money being them savings, pensions, shares, divi, inheritance, property or basically anything you have.

British governments and R+D? never.
