I use trading 212, as mentioned no fees, but obviously they make that up in the spread, but paying interest of c4% on cash balances is a good upside when your in between trades.

Now i'm not trying to de-ramp, i'm heavily invested here, but to say it could haven't done much better. Since he's come in, we've lost 30% in value, hes issued 2 profit warnings in quick succession, accounting forecasting issues, delayed migration resulting in delay buybacks. If thats "couldn't have done much better", then i'd hate to see what a bad start would have looked like.

Not saying he won't come good, and his strategy is sound, but its been a pretty terrible start for him!

DWAM, if your invested here, you should sell if you really believe what you are saying. If your not invested then just give it a rest, its so boring.

Its not even as bad as that. You have existing routes that sell out 100%, you swap the plane and put a bigger 320 plane on the fleet instead, that plane only fills out 97%, the Rask on that flight is now 3% lower. But that plane hold over 30 more seats, and you've sold an extra 28 seats you wouldn't have. the extra 30 seats cost is probably a decent amount less than the 28 extra seats you Just sold. So making more profit on the same route

Seems the pre market doesn't like the Dicks update, and judging how we dropped since the results we known, the read across isn't like either.

They upped capacity by 9%, which generated 6% more revenue, but because that effectively meant a 3% drop in RASK (due to Occupany % on that extra capacity) there seeing that as weakness. That doesn't mean softness, that means they maybe over estimated the improvement, or more likely they traded it off, eg moving a plane from a 319 to 320 getting say 60 to 70% of the extra seat filled, but because thats lower than the 100% on the 319 that results in a lower RASK, but doesn't scare me about winter bookings.

Shareholders "own" the companies profits. The returns they have made over the last 4 years have not been flat. The board has decided to keep those returns in the business at the present time to fund a large plane replacement cycle that should improve profitability and drive top line growth. They have chosen to fund a large part of that via cash and not leverage the business. This has been know to be the strategy for at least 2 years, if you have chose to buy or hold in contra to that strategy thats on you. He has delivered to that strategy, in spite of significant headwinds arising post the formulation of that strategy. Plus signifcant inflation on the cost base that due to competitors like Ryanair, only so much of that can be passed onto the consumer. The fact the market doesn't value that today, is not the CEO's fault. If you agree with the strategy (I assume you do, otherwise why hold?) then everything in between is just noise.

What a bunch of spoilt brats shareholders can be. The CEO primary role is to come up with a strategy and drive that strategy through, he is driving sustainable growth, and growing into new, highly profitably markets and that strategy is working ahead of schedule. Its not his fault if the market isn't rewarding the SP at this time. At the end of the day the market wanted £650m and he delivered £665m, with the Holidays tailwinds offseting the airline headwinds. But for any company to deliver higher profits (than PY & Market) with material NI & minimum wage headwinds is good going. Again Im amazed people are now blaming the CEO, he has delivered this FY IMO. He wants to grow the business, growth costs money, people would moan if he went and highly leveraged the business to fund that growth. Plus they have always been open with the 5 year plan on capital allocation, so why are people acting shocked

My guesses,

1. Yes, £665m+

2. In line with profits, so 10% Increase

3. No - CapEx over next few year blah blah blah

4. Not sure there'll message that, but defo achievable, expect range of £680 to £720m

5. Who knows, will probably wax lyrical about government economic policy creating macro headwinds,

To be fair most of the trends were positive vs Q2, so either they hoped it would improve more when they gave last outlook or they are sandbagging a little, probably a bit of both, the comment saying theh are mindful of macro events which is why they are estimating the bottom of range.

Who knows what will happen, at this SP it feels the bottom ebd was priced in

100%. But how does that make these last 2 less worthwhile? He didn't buy them for a quick buck, he wont be concerned he's underwater on them ones as he's look at a 5 year plus horizon. I still don't understand why him buying some at a higher price a few months ago, means that this purchase should be seen negatively? Care to explain?

Man, people will see the negative in anything. At the end of the day, he bought them to make money! and he has confidence that this buy will result in profit. so he's showing confidence that the SP will improve from where its at now, wheres the negative angle in that. Ignore the last purchase that done and dusted, these buy would be based on does he think he can make money on the purchase. There is zero point averaging down if you fear the share price will drop under your stewardship

Only 1 store so take with a pinch of salt, and can't add more context as wasn't given (EG I don't know what the stores plan is in context to PY), And not sure if 1 week or 1 month (but the messaging across a few weeks have been the same)

Makes me laugh, at £1 you see the value? so you think the true value is higher than that, as I'm guessing you want to make profit. So if you see the value above £1 (to make profit on your £1 entry) then why would it drop so low as to £1, because if it does you'll change the goalposts again as results would have got even worse
