Last Friday was a great day for the shares. Yesterday I sold 15% of my holding as I have held this as the only stock in my portfolio for 6 months! Hopefully there is more to come in the future. Given further good news on Multichoice who know where the price will end up.

I don't think there is manipulation. I was considering selling some off before the meeting today and some afterwards. I think the drop was from the people who did not want the risk of a bad outcome from the meeting and cashed in before it. I did not sell before luckily!

Drop was funny. I thought Google finance had an error. 2m shares were traded @159p. These shares are still going strong. The share price forecasts seem more possible now.

Trump strikes again 50% EU tariffs from 1st June caused a big dip at 12:45, but I think these shares should be more insulated than most UK/EU stocks from this posturing.

I requested an open market quote to sell some shares. I first asked for a quote to sell 146k shares which could not not be fulfilled, then I asked for a quote to sell 30k shares which could be fulfilled. My point here is that just asking for the quote seems to have reduced the share price, as I did not complete the transaction. I made these requests at 10:38 today, and the share price has fallen back again since then. Is this a coincidence? I do not intend so sell currently, but the observation is interesting.

Simply wall street has a fair value listed of 265. I stated my hold value of 220 because a 20% uplift on this price will be 264. I should possibly use the hold price of 212 as this is 80% of the 265 fair value.

I think this shows some much needed resilience from selling pressure. Hopefully we will not see a share price as low as 150p again. Like MS I will be looking to reduce my foolhardy 100% stake in this share soonish as the potential upside reduces. Holding stake for 220p if I can hold my nerve.

Their stake just went below the value that they have to notify on. I think their holding is now 3.696139%, but they do not need to report any further changes unless it goes above 5% again.

Apologies regarding canal+ and Canada. I searched canal+ news filtered on the last week, but must have received a recycled article for 2013!

JPMorgan short position reduced from 0.51% to 0.46%. Canal+ are currently the biggest gainer of the FTSE today 7.77% up. Read an article that suggested that Canal+ should launch in Canada. Finally having my faith restored in these shares. The only way is up?!

Most of the decline is to do with the short position added on 29th not the USA GDP. There was a general panic in the markets for the tariffs, but Canal+ should be fairly insulated from what is happening in America. I think this short position is wrong and they will get burnt. Maybe they thought the low volumes and a big sell yesterday will cause a big decline. I challenge them to be able to close the position without taking the share price above £1.75.

Given the status quo I believe that we should see somewhere close to £1.90 within a month. I would like to see the volumes increasing though.

With the current market sentiment, the market makers are in hiding or moved to defensive stocks. This will mean that in the short term there will be downward pressure on the stock, but when the dust settles I think they will return, and this stock will pick up again. Its just a case of holding tight. There is noting inherently wrong with Canal+ to cause this low valuation.

This is painful. I am finding it quite difficult to gage the market currently, there are too many factors effecting the price, With the trade war we have the chaos in the market and the bulls have left the building. In theory Canal+ should not directly be impacted from the trade war, but there are a number of factors that are difficult to price. Investors are going to defensive stocks or leaving the stock markets.

Is the accusation of Multichoice still good value in this climate? The purchase of Multichoice will mean increasing Canal+ debt, but interest rates may reduce as an impact of the trade war. Is Africa more insulated from tariffs? Given interest rates may ease faster could taking on more debt soon be a good idea? How will their European customers spending habits change when they have less disposable income?

There is lots to consider with the share price currently. I'm of the opinion that the shares must recover soon, but maybe that is because I have a very high exposure to this stock, and cannot face the alternative.

Another 100k skares bought for Maxime Saada 7th March

On the 5th March he bought another 72,223 shares. He is betting the Chateau on the company as he now has about 1.23 million shares!

Maxime Saada stated in an article in the FT that he thought it would be 3 years for the share price to settle. He also stated that he was surprised that the share price has gone this low. I think that we are still seeing significant outflows from French investors, but on the positive side the slower recovery may encourage these investors to exit sooner if they believe that the share price will be depressed for a longer period than expected. Currently all new investors are battling the outflow tide, but this will not last forever.

JPMorgan must had done some analysis on the Level 2 Order Book and realized that in the short term the outflows were greatly in excess of the buyers. Fair play to them for a correct call. I would be super happy when the short position is reduced or removed as this will indicate that these outflows will no longer impact the share price significantly.
