Wonder what the cost of this is in comparison to shipping feed stock from Vametco mine. It would be nice to hear the reasoning for this decision. Was it cost, convenience or necessity?

@Z8 - I have no information apart from what has been put out by BMN. It is my assumption that BMN cannot supply much vanadium to anyone this year because of current commitments to steel customers and its own grid and maybe something else we dont know about yet, but its down to how much V can be processed this year whilst the refurb. program is carried out. I even think if IES win the contract, it will be a couple of years before they need the electrolyte. Sorry cant help re -these projects. ATB!

Forget Eskom, chicken feed! - Think Grid Scale! …..Well big and small, they all add up and supplying them all will be a challenge with the current world capacity to produce vanadium.

BMNs advantage to that of the battery manufacturer/supplier is that soon there will be more companies competing for battery business, meaning tighter margins for them to ensure project wins, whilst increasing demand on the metal.

Vanadium costs are circa 40% of the VFRB. If BMN sells V at around current prices and at previous costs, so almost 50% pre-tax profit on the V supplied to each battery, or around 20% (50% of 40%) of each project that they supply to. The battery company may make 10-15% pre-tax. BMN makes 20% of the cost of the battery as pre-tax profit. That is why I am backing the V supplier and not the Battery companies. - But I wish them all success!

@Jagadish – I believe BMN has the right to first refusal to supply to IES for a couple of years.

The E plant will probably not be producing for IES or others until next summer, at a guess. BMN will want to put its batch thru first for its own project. Probably part of the testing and commissioning that will happen when the plant is built. Don’t think it will be ready until early next year? I’m sure we will be updated soon. Before its finished anyway!

It also ties in with production capacity. This year they will be squirreling away what they can for electrolyte production, above what they are selling to the Steel market. Next year with the increased capacity it will ramp up. The IES contract will probably not require the vanadium or electrolyte for another year or 18mnths at least. Be interested to know.

It may be ‘Jam Tomorrow’, but it is worth waiting for, and as we are starting to see, gaining traction. The non-believers will soon take notice. ATB!

The problem is not with the company or its BOD, its AIM that is the problem.

If there is no plan to borrow from the loan sharks that supply the finance to this market, BMN should get on the main market and then joint list as previously planned. This would attract the investors they need.

All this will come eventually, and meantime I think we will always be playing catch up with the share price. The market is looking for results/proof first, before committing?

That may be true but the issue will not just go away after this attempt. The fact that there is manipulation at all, is breeding a sense of injustice that is growing in the USA and here. They already feel aggrieved on many issues and are showing that. GameStop showed them that they can take on ‘The Man’ and beat him (if only for a short time)! Pressure remains on the up side on silver for now.

Regardless, at these prices and forecasts on production, very good profits are due for this year. I’m in for 50%+ upside to SP and maybe a special dividend payment or improved pay out for this year.

This week or next. Topped up in anticipation that things have not been too bad and returning to normal, plus a reinstatement/payment of final dividend.

This is not a very liquid share and overlooked by the masses, but seems a solid business and good value at these prices.

I used the equine reference before in respect of this being a gift horse, so sorry for this analogy.

It seems all the punters are away betting on the 1000/1 shots and other donkeys on AIM, hoping for a killing. Punters not sure of current form? Smart money (minority) is here and waiting on the stallion to finish the race with a return on their each way bet. Don’t need to be first, just need to cross the line! Hopefully a fast finisher, as slow round the bends but good at hurdles and a stayer over the distance.

@Nick 26 – Interesting article as I think it illustrates that companies, not just in mining, see a need for energy security, tied to reducing costs over the long term, especially where fuel costs are usually the largest costs they have. All coupled with them seen to be playing their part in reducing their CO2 emissions. I think that this will become a trend.

Interesting to note that BMN are also looking at using hydrogen to drive their mining fleet. Same article a few paragraphs below :-

You are correct Pdub. You certainly influenced me. I do not agree with a lot of your opinions, but I respect your judgement of other people. It was your comments of meeting Fortune in person that re-inforced my belief in this company or at least trust in its management. A big factor for me. So thank you. But I would not trust anything said on a b/b without research, and damn those that do and don’t.

This rampy OTT cheerleading is as off putting for some as the moans. Too good to be true, usually means it is. Anything printed on the b/b is up for ‘debate’ and I am looking for the truth in my investment. The outlook for BMN gets better and better all the time in my eyes, but I am happy to hear negatives to see if they have any validity. As long as people can control themselves and remain civil. I know it is easy to react quickly, without thought. People can be passionate about their investments and beliefs. But I want them to tell me how or why, not just that it is, or will be, as a fact. A few negative comments on an otherwise positive b/b with lots of quality info, has no real impact on SP surely? If anything, a busy b/b usual indicates a traders share, but it is soon apparent that most are fans here, dissecting the minutia.

I defended comms the otherday, but conceded they can always be better. I do not see it as a high priority myself. I have seen the company address the problem a little by little over the last year but it will never be good enough for somebody anyway. It is ‘my’ frustration, that others cannot see the value in what is actually dangled in front of them now, concrete, without all the added extras that the company is opaque about. Looking a gift horse in the mouth! I guess I was just expressing that. But the board is here to look, prod and poke not just advertise. “Is there life in it!?” – A cry from the back.

Is a huge positive for investment in this company. It was always my biggest risk factor against this stock. Hopefully it will attract more investors when considered alongside the growth potential the company has ahead. Cheap all the way to the 20's IMO. ATB!

But i'm sure that the plant will ready for when it is required. Part of a plan. IES and Enerox will probably have orders in or ready to go later this year, assuming Enerox has customers for its expansion plans. Everything is probably being timed to the current refurbishment program.

Well they are not breaking their necks to finish the electrolyte plant. But the whole process from first enquiry to installation of batteries must be quite lengthy. Decision making, project planning, obtaining planning permission and permits, raising finance, ordering, manufacture, site works, installation and commissioning. The first 4 can take some time, so maybe a year before the vanadium is required from thinking about it or announcing a project? But the numbers will multiply as VFRBs get traction and then it should be a steady flow like the steel side. My assumptions.

Well as chief cheerleader of this company/bb, your conviction is undermined by your lack of faith in Fortune and that the value will come, especially since you suggest that you are/will be a LTH of these shares. You just seem to be worried about short term price, or your investment decision?

Ever asked yourself why information we are fed is piece meal and mostly retrospectively? I don’t know either. Fortune does not seem to be that naive that he is unaware of the criticism. So he either does not want to or can’t. Personally, I think he is too tight to spend £2000 on a bill for an RNS to support the PI fanzine base. He wants/needs II players and that will shift the price. Its volume buying we need. So, by your account not long ago, they are currently courting these types already.

I dd not think I am being disruptive opposing an over zealous repetitive campaigner like you, if I don't agree with your opinions you sprout as fact. You do sound like you think you are running the company! I may be wrong but so may you!
