China steel production is forecast to grow up to summer, and Europe is unable to get any V orders until March. Recovery in rest of world from Summer, if C19 allows.

The sudden shortening of supplies now suggests the price will keep rising at the current pace. If the rest of the world starts upping steel manufacture before the summer, I could see $50 by the summer, and this is before orders for VFRBs happen.

When do you think V will hit $50 Kg. Summer or end of year?

@DDB If we did have II’s on board at this time, they would all have been related to finance raising and would unlikely hold indefinitely as that is not how they work. I believe that the interest of the real investment type II, eg. Funds, will start to take interest in this sector, green metal commodities, once a few VFRBs are rolled out in Europe and America. People will take note and the real II investments will start. I am surprised by Orion, but they have their royalty and that is their business model. A year of covid may well have stressed many for cash flow etc. Getting on the main market would help enormously because of the bad reputation of AIM, many funds would not even look at BMN.

@jog - Current plans using what BMN has, is to get to 8400T pa. I think that the two plants are maxed out at that point. So if at that stage the world wants more, and you are churning out 8400T at say $45 kg. I would be building a new plant with a view to replacing the old one we only own 75% of. Keep running it and close it in future if a downturn occurs. Cheaper production cost overall. Then there is the iron ore!

I'm suggesting that improvements to the feed side and downstream will have impact on flow rate whilst being upgraded, so you will not realise the full rate until later then you may expect. Still the growth in production, year by year is impressive!

@BBN - The kilns may be able to produce at that rate, but the processes downstream may be bottlenecks, and the target of the next phase of upgrades to realise the potential flow rate you indicate. It does suggest that a quick step up in production will occur in H1 2022, increasing production by 50% from c.4000T in 2021 to 6000T by the end of 2023.

I've always suspected that the gang of shorters had already made their money and bought back the shares previous to this latest attack. Just waiting for more chances as historically they have prevented sustained recoveries. I doubt they had to sell many to drop the price once the cascade effect started. Most of the price action, after wearing out and controlling the retail mob, has been them buying back. So did they have to buy back 12M shares? The short register is probably being used to confuse us.

I doubt this will be allowed to rise above 125 before results, as they are still in the drivers seat. Good value but maybe a longer wait then most expect?
