To be fair on that comment SlurmsMenzie, when I withdrew my first £20k to invest my financial advisor warned me not put any more in until I saw the polyhalite in a truck. But as always I’m still fairly convinced he will get a strategic partner. In the previous interview he actually names the companies that JPM would be happy with. Sovereign wealth funds, Eurochem of BHP. I’m gutted for everyone( including me, my kids and my mates) but now he’s got to show his true worth. My eldest son still thinks that this is a ploy to get rid of private investors and bring in a partner for next to no money. That’s a hell of a conspiracy theory!

Very good point paaa. I was a bit hesitant at first I must be honest, but I sat with them and went through their plans and thoughts and how they were to provision the repayments. I don’t think it would hurt Boris and his lads to do the same. Go visit and talk. Get a feeling for it. Meet with the management team and then form an opinion. The quicker he does it the better it will be. Winters closing in and it’s pretty inhospitable up there for 3 months of the year.

Jonesrichards turned me into a glass half full man. :-). Seriously, I have faith in the engineering and the quality of the teams working on it. Watched it progress from fields and derelict sites at an immense rate and if was left to run at that speed with finance in place, then in 18 months we would be seeing the product dropping off the end of the belt. Unfortunately now, because of a lacklustre and self obsessed govt. and banks that want everything for nothing it’s going to be slowed. Unfortunate doesn’t cover it. However they managed to get away with bailing the banks out without falling foul of eu law defies belief.

I think we’re paddling against the current with some of the questions on here. Let’s make it really simple. Has anyone ever signed as a guarantor for a bank loan for one of their kids when they were just starting out? I know I did. In addition it didn’t cost me a penny. Just made it dead easy for the kids to get a cheap loan and repay it themselves. Same thing as the Sirius are asking for....not money, just a bit of faith and some signatures.

Kelal, explain whats pointless. We need finance. It will come in my opinion. What’s the problem? We bought in to make money but also for the region. Nothing wrong with anyone who wants to carrying on investing whilst it’s cheap. In fact we may finish up owning more than half the shares in the company. Who knows. Personally, I’ve got to have a go. All in my opinion folks.

Bad for the guys on site but immediate action at cost reduction. Why on earth do journalist overblow everything. It’s why you employ contractors.....for staff flexibility.

Unfortunately can’t get away from my wife. I know that sounds bad but she has a terminal brain disease and it more or less ties me to her side. Hence all the time in the world with an i pad and and the time to mail Sirius with suggestions to create money for us rather than the City. I’m in too deep to worry about throwing more money in. That and the fact that that I don’t like to think the likes of JPM have had me over.

At the end of it all I’m in it for my kids and grandchildren. My idea was for it to create generational wealth for my family. I’ll dig in and crack on.

Me too. It’s harder than you think to contact someone. In my old role I sat next to the chief execs pa. I couldn’t get a message to him and I know her. There seems to be a S##t filter placed between the people in the know and us. I too would love to stuff the city and make this a UK success but without getting the message across we are stuffed.

Now if it was a Nigerian prince needing the cash for an oil well.....I probably would send it. ;-)

In my mail I gave them the idea of the bonds for a £400 million shareholder assist at an excellent rate of interest. I should print it off and send it recorded to CF because I got the feeling I got the corporate b****x reply. Ffs I’ll drive to Scarborough with a cheque ( or a pile of them) if that’s what it takes.

Maybe we just get people to barrage investor relations with offers for a bond purchase at that level we may get somewhere. I would place my kids inheritance in it because I have no doubt in the abilities of all the high class contractors that are delivering this project to succeed. Oh and the fact that in 7 years they would have made 70% on the initial input. ( in fairness I would accept 5%) :-)

I e mailed investor relations today and asked them to pass the mail on to CF. In it I told them to offer bonds in denominations of £5k at 10% over 7 years with no warrants attached. I got a polite reply saying thanks for your support, however......... you get the drift. I for one would have placed a considerable amount with them to assist with the build. I canvassed my ex work colleagues who said they would match my input. We are in deep enough but were happy to make it more in order to save the day. Short of hunting CF down and giving him a carrier bag of used 20s I’m not sure what else We could do.

I bought in sizeably again yesterday to add to my long term holding. However, only do what you think is correct after much research and very careful consideration. I am willing to lose mine and still have a house, car and an income along with savings. If it comes good I’ll be wealthy, if not hey ho it’s my fault.
