I was holding court in the pub last night, my turn on the soapbox. The talk was buying battery cars. All of the guys sat at the table were my old work colleagues, so ex electricity board. I asked them this. “ With our collective knowledge do you see 50% of car parking spaces and shopping centres and multi stories, stations, motorway services and domestic properties having charge points within 15 years”?
The low voltage network will not take the additional load. Charging takes too long. We already have load problems around early evening without having vehicle charging added. I cannot imagine working on a cable fault in the middle of the night and having to pick up load on an open network with hundreds of cars all waiting on their chargers to take 30amps plus. There isn’t enough staff to be able to deliver the installation work along with existing network requirements. The countries road networks will be littered with cars that have “run out of power” on dark rainy cold nights. The breakdown services will need built in 25kva generation. Hydrogen will be the most viable option. Electric charging is a political knee jerk reaction. Not be long before the govt. are banging the hydrogen drum. Then watch the share price!

Luckily I got more about 5 mins before the RNS. Very unusual for me to be on time with a buy. It just looks better every day.

A couple of points that may improve the overall picture. One is the fact the govt. have brought the petrol/diesel ban forwards to 2035 so bringing with it the necessity for chargers into that shortened timeframe. The second is that RECs are losing staff at a colossal rate as they lift their pensions in lumps and retire. This leaves staff shortages that need filling by contract staff such as Fulcrum.

Once the kids have left you will grow a foot. I did. I lost my stoop.:-)

If Jupiter aren’t too impressed maybe Anglo shareholders should be more concerned!

I’m a fan of Steve Davies. He’s obviously not happy....and rightly so.

I would sooner see a Chinese investor come and steal the lot now from under THEIR noses and leave them in the situation that we are in. That is, skint and pi55ed off. I think I would be happier letting them have my shares knowing that payback had occurred. Bit childish but it’s how it's made me feel.

How fast can a “book build” be put together? Heard of them but don’t know technicals behind them.

The money for the raise could have saved from Charitable donations or by adding it to the raise. The first was oversubscribed. The second MAY have been. Ask for commitments first from pis. Mail them them your name and the amount you were prepared to commit as a trial. If you turn in to work and have 50,000 mails in your box then it looks a goer. Have an egm and ASK. Thats cheap enough. I think we can all see the way it’s going. Just having a vent.

I’ve been through their reply 4 times now. Nowhere in the letter are the words a judge would use. Every REASONABLE effort. Was it reasonable to try a share sale? Yes or no? Answer, we assumed from historical figures that......... so no then! Never ever ever go to a court or tribunal without having made every reasonable effort. If you do the noose will be tightening as you walk into the dock. Having been a witness on several occasions in corporate hearings I can tell you it ain’t pleasant. Lord only knows what the defendant feels like.
