RM, :-)) After mentioning the trains I decided to visit the loft. Grief. I found, in boxes, a scalextric including williams and benetton Cars with enough track to circle the living room. A complete active Linn hi fi, 3 amps, Cd, a preamp, linn speakers almost big enough for coffins. Got it down.....all fully functioning. :-)

BlakeneyP I’m going to make my final purchase tomorrow just in case It does fly Northwards and then do as Baz says the grass does, get half cut in preparation. Got my Tyndrum gold but not the first edition. Third. The first were changing hands at £300 plus on auction sites.:-)

Rockhead I can’t be bothered with all that. :-) when I pass away ( in a commotion attracting loads of attention ,like John Wayne when he was shot ) My kids will empty the loft into a skip and say” wtf did the old fool keep all this for?” That’s the only reason I keep putting stuff up there. To give them something to do. I’m thinking about filling a box with housebricks and putting a smiley face under the bricks. :-) Oh and then haunting them with a vengeance.:-)))))

Rockhead, I don’t know what gauge or type your Model railway is but if we have a scotgold get together sometime I have a box of Triang hornby engines, coaches and carriages in my loft. If they are of use you are welcome to them.I had them bought in the 60s, probably For Christmas. My old pride and joy was 4472 in its original Form when it was first introduced with the pullman carriages. They’ve been in every loft In every house I have owned since the 1970s. All in their original original boxes. Shows how sad I am that I kept them boxed. :-)

Craigy990, sorry for the late intervention here but, what you have to realise is quite a lote of us were in when this was single digit pence, 4p for me from memory so we are more than happy to allow it to to retreat with a problem. It was a risk but now it’s minimised massively. However I too am in shares at 0.09p (very risky) that are slowly moving Northwards. I read the boards and sieve the rubbish from the good. Some is well meant humour and that is all ok. Some is blatant ramping to drive up And some is the other way. If you find yourself with a large profit then take out what you started with and be safe. If the company suddenly appears 100% safe then by all means go back in. Have glance at my history and look if you want an example. Some of those had my ar5e twitching, but most are now excellent. Good luck because every investor needs a bit of that. EVERY ONE.

Bbb, my lawn starts flourishing in March and if we get mild weather, as now, I’ve sometimes had to cut in December. However, I’m my own worst enemy, feeding twice in Summer and spiking in Autumn. If it wasn’t for the grandkids I would have it done in block paving.

If I was a suspicious person I might think that the gold price was dropped “artificially” today. The gold markets been flying and some of the holders of shorts Will want out. Doubtless their associates would want to help them out and then let them close and then go long.:-) just my opinion. I reckon it’s a blip before a sharp rise. I wait with patience. Mr Biden will help out with green confetti.

I read a piece yesterday that mentions the distinct possibility of gold being $5000 an ounce by this time next year when Biden tells the treasury to speed up the printing presses. It would not surprise me in the slightest. The green trillions will will push up the value of both paper and physical gold. I’ll stick with the physical stuff.
