If AVA6000 is a way of administering Dox in much higher doses than on it's own with limited or even no side effects then that on it's own is a good enough reason for many to want it in their box of tricks.

Efficacy is a completely different thing and should be seen as such. These safety trials are just that and are on very poorly patients who in most cases have also received previous treatments which may have lead to some Dox resistance and has been stated not all the patients has high FAP tumours. Some efficacy however has been observed which is again good but not the reason for the trials.

AVA6000 is the start of the road and should not be seen as the cure all for cancer...it's not.

The company now has to take all the data and work out it's dosing for the next trial. Science is one step at a time and a learning curve based on observations.

If you're not happy with your investment then move on. The SP is what it is because Avacta is where it is right now...very early stage R&D.

Many Pharmas are very cautious...the could offer a partnership for one product with option on others or the whole. An AA might be a better deal for Avacta longer term.

Alextak...you're so right..the unknowns (exactly mid price) have all sorts of effects on the recordings. If you look at LSE they record total buys and total sells but unknowns are not included in either total...they are only included in the total trades total.

The breaking down of large orders into much smaller amounts which are then traded to confuse the algos to hold a price down at times of poor liquidity is also a gaming strategy.

Ii's will always catch out the naive PIs.

Chemo like Dox and those on MM's list are usually dosed on a 3 week cycle. A two week cycle in some cases is available but at a much reduced dose. So it makes sense to try AVA6000 on a 2W basis to see if they can match 3W on all perameters if not beating them. A 2W trial was not proposed initially...it's a slot in. The 3W results obviously impressed.

BV..who said licence AVA6000...?

Their position is to licence the pipeline products.

PI's are the ones talking about selling Avacta...not Avacta.

The only thing Avacta has said is possibly divesting DX in the future and even divesting does not mean selling it off.

If AVA6000 has great 2W safety data and efficacy is observed like or hopefully better than 3W...the pipeline will be instantly licencable which was always the aim and still is isn't it?...

AVA6000 was and still is the key that unlocks the door and will give real value to PreCision and the new pipeline.

What if a friendly Pharma has been in the background pulling a few strings such as holding up a potential deal if Avacta agreed to a 2W trial.

Do we really know who and why the 2W was instigated.

Avacta Group plc (AIM: AVCT), a life sciences company developing innovative, targeted cancer treatments and powerful diagnostics, today announces that the company will present updated data from the Phase 1a trial of AVA6000 at the 2024 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress, in Barcelona, Spain from 13-17 September 2024.

The poster presentation will be based on an updated data cut from the Phase 1a trial of AVA6000 in patients with Fibroblast Activation Protein (FAP)-positive solid tumours. AVA6000 is a peptide drug conjugate consisting of doxorubicin conjugated with a peptide moiety that is specifically cleaved by FAP in the tumour microenvironment.
