Those at the sharp end must be really concerned about this upcoming Winter travel right now, in particular Skiing trips, it's not only Covid but what about Flu too. Just think of all those bugs circulating/mixing/mutating as a result of the good old Apres Ski frolicks...yuck!!!
Vaccinated people can still catch and pass on Covid...and we must not forget this.
If the Govt chooses to go down the route of cheap and inferior LFT's on their new list despite all their talking up of more accuracy and UK produced it will be totally unforgiveable...

Ours is based on new tech....scary stuff for those pen pushers who have never seen or heard of a test using affimers before...
And volumes...govts need guarantees and can we give such guarantees yet based on ALL raw material supplies/, consistency etc...

Oddman...order filling work through per my post a couple of days ago...that's why our SP was dropped so they could get their hands on some shares and had to go low to prize them out of sticky hands...as soon as they had enough and could process the deal through the SP was raised again...don't worry about Sell vs Buy as each transaction has a BUY and a Sell side. For example when you Buy shares someone is Selling them to you and they would have had to Buy them from another Seller at some point...If this trade had been put through earlier today when the Bid and Ask were lower it would have shown as a Buy.

'Day 2 PCR tests set to go before October half-term
UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has said that costly day two PCR tests should be replaced by a cheaper lateral flow option for vaccinated travellers to England by Friday, October 22, when schools break up for half-term.

PCR tests normally cost £55-£75, while lateral flows cost £25-£45.

“We want to get this done for half term for people,” he told Sky News.

“My colleagues over at health and to a certain extent the Home Office, they are the people who will have to implement this change, are working extremely hard on getting this done, and so we anticipate having it ready for the half term.

“What a difference it will make for people rather than having to do things like send off a test and wait for the result, people will be familiar with the lateral flow, you read it on the cassette there and then. It shows you the result in a few minutes.”

Mr Shapps added that an announcement on this change can be expected in the coming days.

Unvaccinated adults will still have to take PCR tests on days two and eight after arriving in England.

No we can't explain for sure but I would hedge a guess it's because ours is based on new tech (affimers) and backlogs...I know it's supposed to be simply abut how easy the test is to use but there must be a bit more to the criteria when it comes to getting HUA. Having dealt with many regulatory authorities over the years, they do tend to be blinkered and are happy checking tried and tested boxes...give them something new and that's when the fun starts and it often leads to more questions more paperwork requirement, more red tape and having to check with other departments etc etc...
I suspect that's been one of our problems all along...they just don't know quite what to do when they see the word 'affimer' and it's not listed on their check lists...
But as I said, we can't be sure...

30 Sept AS presented to a bunch of investors/pharma companies. Based on what we little PIS know, Avacta is very much at the forefront of some exciting research/trials. My take on the current SP is that one or more of those investors may have expressed an interest in buying g some shares but as is normally the case with IIs they want in at mates rates. All this negativity is often a sign someone somewhere is trying to get their hands on some cheap shares...it's not all about shorter IMHO...
I cannot believe we are now not on the radar of several pharmas/large investors...
Our LFT is purely to generate cash flow as a minimum...should it take off with little effort on Avactas part then that's a huge bonus. Therapeutics is where it's really at and where the real money is already starting to filter through...but it will still take time and our future is very much in the hands of others...

Now if Avacta could come out with a Covid/Flu combo LFT...wouldn't that be a winner. There's already a virulent flu strain in other parts of the World and it will be heading our way.
Opening up the UK just as Winter approaches is a risk in itself and couple it with reduced testing and doing away with PCR tests means any test replacement (LFT) has to be extremely accurate and available in volume.
We are and will continue to be part of the Govts purchasing plans...roll on end Oct...

Where did I read that part of the tech transfer with Abingdon was also about making improvements to our test accuracy, quality and raw material costs...or did I dream all this..

Note the word 'purchase'...this usually means to buy using a payment transaction...however, it can also mean to place an order with a commitment to pay for that order in advance or on receipt of goods or after a number days after receipt of goods or from invoice date.
What the word purchase does not confirm is whether or not the goods have shipped.
