Whole sector pretty flat or modestly down. Gold was swirling a tad lower but seems to have had a word with itself. Stage set for results now.

James, we know AIM is a basket case but it’s also an opportunity.

There’s no way that GGP is going to miss out on the massive sector rally on the ASX later.

Sad news today, but hardly surprising. The beginning of the end you feel.

Had Tenner gone to court, or at least secured some ongoing revenue for the IP, all could’ve been very different. Instead, what we got was at best weak and at worst criminally underhand leadership, and once again PIs were left carrying the can.

It’s not uncommon for new tech to fail to get wider traction, and that’s part of the risk you take. But when you look at the open goal Nanoco were presented with, and how awfully they blundered at the point at which monetisation was possible, it’s hard to blame anything other than the usual charlatans that plague small caps in the UK.

Feel for holders here, glad I got out shortly after the whole buyback scam and more than made up for the bad dream that was my Nanoco investment journey. I can only encourage others to do the same.

If we continue to outperform the sector I can see the market rewarding us with a p/e north of 20 but that will take time and the macro needs to hold up

Totally agree my pe is very conservative (hence thread title) but to me that’s a floor value. 100% upside from here pretty much. Then add in WDU what will that do I wonder…

The market cap would be $15,750,000,000 AUD (or $15.75 billion AUD).

Also keep in mind a company throwing off cash like Greatland. You get the SP growth but also likely dividends before long. You could end up with bonanza yields.

Companies banking profit does take the edge off having to time the perfect exit IMO.

Whilst the gains here have been spectacular over the last 12 months, this run is barely getting started.

$5k gold, 7250 Aussie. If we can keep a steady AISC on our ounces then throwing off circa $5k profit an ounce. $1.5 billion per annum! All of a sudden that p/e compresses back to about 6 based on current mcap.

Even assuming we stand still on all other fronts, we are cheap as chips right now. This isn’t factoring in any additional buoyancy associated with newsflow, capital rotation, GDX etc etc.

As PIs you look at the gains and think ‘that’ll do me’ but my god we are barely out of the foothills here!

Dip: markets yes, sector no.

Charles is no mug, that much is clear. Where he excels is understanding macro and understanding value. That’s why I thought his comments re a fiver flew in the face of his own philosophy.

Sector wise: element and Bamps are superior in my opinion. In fact, I think there’s been some clear evidence that CA has utilised some research here as the bases for some of his thought pieces on Greatland.

Charles is an insightful chap, but the fact he even committed to print that he’d bail at a fiver tells you his knowledge of Greatland’s geological potential was not on the same level as our posters here.

There’s a lot of hot, flitty money moving in the gold space at the moment so these sorts of moves are to be expected.

What the day traders clearly keep getting wrong, though, is assuming that gold is vulnerable to trump, to reasons I explored in a previous post, gold has evolved and any trump induced glitches will be short lived. Gold was bought on the dip and back above 4800 within hours. This will be understood by the wider market in time, the gold TACO trade is dead.

As tends to be the way with GGP and news, there’s a buying opportunity here now. Element has already spelled out what this RNS might mean for reserves.

Wonder what moon’s anal-ysis team make of these results?

BC investment corp is pleased to announce a brand new fund.

It’s called the MoonContra ETF.

The fund has skilfully managed to infiltrate the telegram inner sanctum and has developed intricate insider knowledge of the Moon analysis team (moon and his imaginary friends).

The contra ETF then does the opposite of what the top analysis team suggest, so they’re currently long GGP and short on a basket of AIM lifestyle dusters.

So far, the fund has doubled its money in under a month.

All these fireworks and still the best yet to come.

I thought a fiver would prove sticky, it was blown out the water in short order. Now I think the same could happen to a tenner. Could be a real bun fight trying to value GGP if resource updates go how we think they might combined with GDX, perfect storm.

Wherever you look there are price drivers. Brilliant fun!

Anyone looking at the charts in terms of POG from here on in is doing it wrong. I don’t know what else gold has to do for people to get this fact but the paradigm is shifting, in real time. Charts are as useful as a chocolate teapot as this is unprecedented.

I recall Kent_Man, one of the good guys, stating with confidence that there was a double top and gold primed for a big correction. I thought there might be something in that.

Gold was at $3200 at that point. Look at us now.

Received wisdom on charts, momentum etc has all gone out the window.

It’s better, in my humble opinion, to focus on the narrative that’s playing out and consider the gold price to be incedental to that. Gold isn’t just the asset that shields against inflation and fiat debasement, it’ll define who sits at the top table when the reset is negotiated. Governments are telling us, screaming it in fact, that gold is the only true world currency. The masses aren’t even close to catching on yet, and this story is far from done.

I thought talk of 10k gold was pie in the sky, now I’m not so sure. It feels like this story is just getting going.
