Added some more at 32.9. That’s probably me done now til we hear something concrete on the litigation or commercialisation front. Current price is basically 0 premium paid for the PTAB vs the high pre PTAB. What a funny thing sentiment is!

Amazes me that some posters here dismiss luck when thinking about this company. Who would have bet against Nano when that Dow agreement was signed?! You could’ve researched this company within an inch of its life and it would be screaming buy. What unfolded is nothing short of a miraculous catastrophe. That wasn’t a calculated risk that would’ve factored into any sane investors calculations. That was rotten luck.

Hopefully something we will get justice for. But any Nano investor trying to dismiss luck needs to have a word with themselves.

Investors obsess over risk. They forget its opposite number: luck, and just how important it is. Morgan Housel speaks very eloquently on the topic.

It’s a common cognitive bias to assume that high net worth individuals and instis somehow know something we don’t or have an intrinsically better investing strategy than us lowly PIs. Truth is they are just as prone to mistakes as the rest of us, and are playing a very different game to us (remember most funds report quarterly and so trading in and out to crystallise profit, even if they know it’s headed one way, is fairly common, especially if the rest of the portfolio isn’t doing too well).

PIs enjoy very few advantages in the stock market. But the one luxury we undoubtedly have is time. We do not need to report quarterly to shareholders, and sell promising stocks to realise profit and look good on our headline figures. We can sit and wait for years if needs be.

I feel very strongly buy and hold will yield something pretty special here (sorry if that sounds a bit rampy for a certain member of this board).

Just seems odd that he’s selling just as the train is about to leave the station. Within 6 months this could be many multiples of current price, giving way more fire power to take a position at IQE…

I agree with the overarching point that the motions are themselves a sign of trying to force a mistake somewhere through sheer hope rather than anything else.

However, I disagree with your points on the science for two reasons:
Firstly, the oral presentations, whilst highly technical, were not impossible to decipher. I feel I have a pretty solid grasp on nano’s cluster compound patent and went out on a limb and called that one a slam dunk as soon as I read it.

Secondly, and I think this is the crucial bit. As investors we should all be trying to wrap our heads around the science. After all, this case is going before a jury of ordinary citizens just like you or I. It’s important we try and filter through all the legalese to ascertain the strength of Nano and Samsung’s cases respectively. I believe that together we’ve done a decent job of that and we should continue to help one another out in this regard.

My last point on this before I leave it alone.

Without Lombard’s dumping we likely wouldn’t be in this new channel. Doing it on a Friday is another tactical ploy, plenty of time to psychologically digest the new price and hence it becomes the new normal.

Perhaps I sound a bit conspiratorial saying all this so I won’t further this conversation any further. But Lombard’s behaviour on Friday was not in step with how they usually do things and that is what put the SP back into the 30s.

Believe me I’m not complaining I’ve repositioned elsewhere to add more here. I’m just saying it doesn’t feel exactly fair how it’s been gone about.

I agree it’s a good sign the fact he is buying. And seemingly continuing to do so.

What I mean is dodgy is that it feels a bit ‘insidery’. So Lombard dumps the shares down from 43p to 36p on that Friday and then he starts hoovering? Just all seems a bit suspect to me.

Feeks Lombard have been selling but Turcan as a private entity has been buying. The reason he declares is because he’s sat on the board.

Is think it’s a bit suspect though. He will have known exactly when Lombard will have dumped and judging by the buy prices, bought the dip every time. Dodgy.

Crystallised some pretty chastening losses on part of my SNG investment to reposition a bit more here. Just figure my chances of recouping the loss there are much more likely here rather than praying for a T/O of SNG.

Nano now 50% of the portfolio but at this price just feels the right thing to do. 2022 will be a defining year and I just like how Brian Tenner has gone about steering the ship.

The PTAB in essence ‘froze’ the trial so there was simply no need until new dates were set etc. for all those things to be dealt with.

Your comments on the guy are a little callous Nigwitty. The guy leaves behind a wife and kids and he was only 40 odd.

Lots of selling pressure between Lombard and RG. I wonder if Griffiths is looking to totally unwind his position? Could be some real nice buying ops in the coming weeks if no news of a settlement.

Gilstrap hasn’t given Samsung an inch, and I’m going all the way back to Markman here. I would assume he will be pushing for a bit of common sense to prevail at that conference, if we haven’t settled already…

So was 36/37p engineered all along? Just as Lombard are trimming, Turcan (who is affiliated with Lombard) is hoovering? All bizarre if you ask me.

Henry, the additional work package announced from the company bounced us from the 30s to 26p, and played a large part in such a heavily subscribed share offer, IMO.
Current price puts us in oversold territory I’d say, and I do think macroeconomic factors are perhaps weighing on us a little, which, when you think of the rise here vs the general market doldrums, we are doing well.

From what I can gather a docket control order is the judge issuing a clear schedule to keep things moving along. Think this is a positive as it’ll be setting firm deadlines on various stages.
