Terror what planet are you on? Who is blaming the stock market in any of this? The valuation is a reflection of the running joke this company has become. I don’t think anyone can dispute that.

NGR sorry for the delay (on holiday) but to answer your point I don’t blame the board for STM walking.

I do blame them for mismanaging the the whole Samsung settlement and giving away the family silver for a song, simultaneously signalling to the wider market the IP can be bought cheap.

I do blame them for a pigs in the though redistribution of the cash when there was a business to run.

I do blame them, specifically Tenner, for misleading the market in the run up to settlement. I also blame him for overhyping the pipeline at the time.

I blame them for the fact that institutional funds could conveniently sell at the top, strongly implying insider trading, probably proved by the settlement t with Tariq Mahmood.

So yes, there is much within the Nanoco story whereby blame can be placed at the at best inept and at worst corrupt doors of the BOD.

BD yes I am saying that. In fact, I think it’s already fair to say that if S&P is hitting all time highs right now, can the suppressed gold price be blamed on Iran war? I think it’s something else. The market has shown itself willing to shrug off the war itself, but its economic effects cannot be ignored for much longer. Once that reality bites? Enter gold and the miners.

I don’t see the Iran situation resolving any time soon. And soon the SandP will stop fiddling whilst Rome burns and understand what’s really going on.

Fuelled by AI euphoria, the markets are blissfully ignorant of the two apocalyptic horses of debt and inflation. Iran war has thrust a colossal energy induced inflation shock on the world. This is going to impact massively on energy hungry AI margins but of course the wider impact will be enormous. Ofgem raising energy cap by 13% tells you this is coming down the track as we speak. Food will be next. Do you honestly see rates matching the real rate of inflation? Thus bankrupting nations? I say not. Position accordingly.

It would be wise for investors to subscribe to Occam’s razor. Delisting is seldom good and folk should not be fooled by any linguistic gymnastics to be led to think otherwise.

A very sad demise as Nanoco is yet another UK company to go to the wall. The difference between Nanoco and 90% of other failed companies is that they had so, so many chances to get it right.

Serious tech in the hands of very unserious charlatans for leadership who blundered time and time again. Anyone who thinks otherwise of the various lifestyle frauds to have graced the Nanoco boardroom (Nigel the only exception) is a sitting duck to get mugged on their next investment.

It always bothered me that when the war started the SandP and gold was moving in lockstep with gold. This, I felt, was never good in the event of a major market meltdown. Now, the divergence is clear as the SandP moves to all time highs whilst gold continues to build a base around the 4500. To my mind this is bullish, paving a way from a major rotation when the proverbial hits the fan.

The FID is quite important in the context of how Hav is to be funded, I feel.

I would love to us to use free cash to fund development. But equally, I totally get it if the company wants to access some credit to add a bit of a buffer. Especially if it means growth drilling can continue full tilt. That is clearly going to produce a greater ‘yield’ long term than the interest on any loan we might have to pay.

Regardless, I absolutely trust Shaun to execute the best plan there. This is an area in which he absolutely excels.

Amazing news. Getting a mine to production is a treacherous path with many potential trapdoors.

The Telfer story continues to unfold but there’s romance in the Havieron story. GGP’s baby from the off. Briefly adopted by a cruel stepmother but now back where it belongs. First ore from Havieron will be a special moment and all things considered the journey has been surprisingly quick vs typical discovery to development timelines.

Don’t forget that Havieron won’t just be contributing big ounces, but also getting that AISC even lower. Massive well done to Shaun and the team and excitement will be building as work ramps up.

For me, I feel the beauty of GGP is that you don’t have to be particularly bullish on gold for us to still do well.

I listened to Charles Archer’s ‘analysis’ of Greatland in the latest YouTube video and I’ve reached the conclusion that he’s just another AIM punter in search of the next unicorn. Charles is a very switched on bloke and he writes beautifully, but his comment that ‘it’ll probably do 100% in the next 3 years’ might as well have been plucked out of thin air. It was disappointing stuff. This isn’t serious investing commentary.

The growth drilling is going to keep putting backstops on our SP. The old £5 floor now seems to be £7. What about when the next round of drilling comes in? What when Hav gets green lighted? What when the pinnacles system gets proved from here to Timbuktu? What when the WDU comes online? What when we start hoovering up all the other Paterson prospects either via JV or Tolling? What when the copper shortage keeps biting and that AISC keeps heading south? All these drivers have nowt to do with the gold price. All else could stand still and Shaun will have built so much value in this company that £15 will look cheap.

And if we do see macro tailwinds and a rotation into gold? GGP will attract a premium based on all of the above, and multibagging is on the menu.

The sensitivity of the miners relative to gold is pretty extreme right now, I’d say. Every dollar move in the gold price is being mirrored through miners, and amplified. It’s showing all the signs of a very emotional market seeking guidance from some kind of signal around where gold might be headed. Fear is peaking and paper hands are being bucked off the bull. GGP has shed a billion from its peak. That kind of volatility is no joke and it shows you there’s a lot of emotion and fear out there.

A fascinating battle around the $4500 is underway. You feel that eventually something has to give and we head north or south in pretty short order.

Lassonde feels 4.5 gold is close to the bottom. If we see 4.2 I’m backing up the truck à la Macquarie smash which was not far off a year ago. Let’s see.

Really interesting moment for gold you feel. 4500 the key battleground. If it bounces off this level, it will have tested it at least 4 times. Surely a green light for it to finally begin its ascent upwards. If not? We could see 4300 retested.

Goes to show GGP has ascended from the AIM punter radar into serious company territory.

Curious that Kevin doesn’t understand what compounding is based on his odd comment. Also no comments on the recent catalysts within the WDU.

Interesting discussion around the whole tier 1 concept. GGP not yet a major player if we are saying 500k+ per annum but that’s why the drill results are so so exciting. The grades we are seeing coming out of these WDU and pinnacles targets, blended with some of the lower stuff (I may be talking out by backside geologically here but hopefully not) you can easily see a path to perhaps even 500k per annum just out of Telfer. Then factor in the really high grade havieron ore on the other train and you see that the idea of us getting close to a million ounces isn’t so far fetched. With our FCF and amazing AISC we would eclipse northern star at those volumes. And that’s what…2, 3 years away?

This is a stupidly good company.

I think there is just generally a lot of tension in the macro space at the moment. It can make it hard for companies to really differentiate themselves when there’s such volatility in the sector generally. Today a great example of news getting g lost in the wash.

That said, I’m not complaining, GGP is doing a wonderful job! It’s just price discovery clearly very tricky at the moment with all these heightened emotions.

The Telfer hub and spoke is alive and kicking.

This mine will outlive us all.

All these ounces getting discovered for peanuts in terms of investment $ really. Don’t see that stopping any time soon. A colossal mineralised system is emerging and I’ve no doubt the exploration team have their tails up on the hunt for more. Time to put that Antipa thesis in the bin Seneca, stop backing the bridesmaid and invest in the bride!

What strikes me also is that here we are at all time highs, and relatively little in the way of posts compared to yesteryear. I remember in 2020/21 you’d easily top 300+ posts on even the most boring of days SP wise. Granted most of it tripe, I’m not complaining!

But it does go to show that a good many PIs, especially trader/punter types have sold up and moved on. Not unusual just as the party is getting started, but many shares now locked away in institutions vaults.

New ATH clipped with gold some 700 bucks off its high. That, right there, is true value creation.

Flawless execution from Shaun and the team. Grade control has been sublime, AISC low in spite of huge investment in drilling and equipment, cash generation means havieron all but secure. Still got massive stockpiles to boot!

Have a sneaky feeling that with all this new hardware we are going to see a nice upward trend on the guidance for next year too.

Still so so much resource information to come. Telfer is its own hub and spoke and it ain’t done yet. Stage 2 is going to be mind blowing in scale and then when the WDU comes online those grades are going to skyrocket. All those new ounces found for the equivalent of around 5bucks a pop.

And when Havieron comes online? Ounces boom and AISC plummets.

So yeah, nice to see ATH and all but we are nowhere near done yet.
