Another thing to consider when owning shares listed in the states. If the £ crashes next march we'll be quids in here if you hold but if it rallies again we'll not be getting as much when we sell.

With conversation and all, between barrick and randgold. Which will follow which and how long have we got to get out if we don't want to trade on NYSE.

Just opened on NYSE ,up 4% . Deal seems to be liked by the markets at both ends. What to do???

Let's see if the stories are true and what it would mean to the rrs sp.

Presuming this would be a positive for shareholders of RRS ? May be the catalyst to get this moving north again.

As a rough guide, if half who have the first tranche of free shares, decided to put an order in to sell at the first opportunity, then roughly 30 million shares would be sold that day. 1.2 million were sold on Friday ,as a guide.

Very few, if any, do what they do 'for the business'. Most don't give two hoots about the share price, shareholder's or what bonuses their bosses are getting for working them to the bone, I'm afraid.
Like what's been said, I reckon you'll see 75% put a pre order in to sell at whatever price it is and won't care. It's 'free money' to buy the kids pressies for Christmas. Probably half of posties don't even know or care what the sp is. As long as I can see the office rammed full of packets in the morning, I'll hold mine for the div and sell before I retire hopefully in 5 yrs. If we do get a sudden drop on the day we can sell, I may even have a cheeky punt for a quick return, as fundamentally nothing will have changed, other than posties wanting cash for crimbo, the sp is sure to recover pretty quickly.

Don't forget this is the month that us posties can sell our first tranche of free shares tax free. 120,000 posties ,full time got 613 shares. That's potentially allot of shares that could be sold 2 months before Christmas. I can see the sp taking a 5% hit that day.

Or, being aim, it may spike 15% then drop to lower than before the news. Sometimes it makes me wonder if I should have just bought £10k of lottery tickets. You see potential in a company and assets, put your money in and even when it comes good, you are mostly not rewarded. I still hold the faith that this will make 15-20p a share sometime in the next 3 yrs however it still gets frustrating at times when good news is not reflected in the sp.

That's because we HAVE to also deliver letters to every household in the UK, 6 days a week. While the USO is forced upon us, we will never be able to compete with them. We really need to split letters and parcels because at the moment the rounds are not designed to do both in the time allowed. The overtime paid is horrendous.
