Be careful, yes poo is rising which is nice but there's nowhere near as much of it being sold. Also this sort of level is letting the US shale guys back in the game. Oil could be $200 and the oil companies wouldn't be making as much as they did 2 yrs ago with oil at $70. Hopefully when the world opens up again big oil will take off. Hopefully BP will still have enough skin in the oil business to benefit and they won't have rotated too much to renewables. I'm hoping for £4 in the next 2 yrs and taking 6% yield along the way. Gl all.

Shell not raised Divi yet, divi coming up soon is same as last one, next one will be announced in April then we'll see if it has been raised. It's still about half the yield of BP though.

Things may be improving, but I wouldn't say rapidly, TUI won't make a profit for couple of years I'd say with the debt they have and are likely to need more funding with no business untill back end of summer or autumn. SP was £7 ,or roughly same as it is now, before the first lockdown, when nobody expected it to turn out like this Andrew they had nowhere near the debt they now do. That was my point.

Not directly as such but look at the sp of some European airlines today as a result if the US today with American airlines coming in for the reddit treatment. There is a knock on effect.

If by airlines in the US, you mean American airlines, think you'll find that rise was a reddit induced short squeeze. Beware.

Avocet, what time frame do you have in mind for this 100% rise? 3-5yrs? Or more? I would say with the world closing borders for the foreseeable future, there's more downward pressure on the SP than up IMHO. If you can't see that I suggest you take an object view and open your eyes.
