Not much has been said about children has it. Of course , trails have not been done so therefore no vaccine is currently going to be given to under 16 yr olds. this age group are spreaders of covid so will countries accept non vaccinated children coming to their country on holiday? This remains to be seen. So you reckon only older and more vulnerable and NHS/ carehome workers to be allowed overseas by August?

I think you meant every uk adult to be offered FIRST vaccine by end of July ,so add on the 3 months for the second dose and you have Start of November before everyone is fully vaccinated. And that's pushing it I reckon, and that's if there are no serious mutations that require vaccines to be tweaked. This is the UK also, who are well ahead of the EU , so British citizens are most likely not going abroad for their holiday this summer. Sadly. It's good to be positive but you also have to be realistic. More bail outs and dilution/debt is coming TUI's way if it is to survive. IMHO.

That would be discriminating. Surely they can't do this until EVERYONE in the UK has been offered the vaccine. Also NO under 16 yr old is currently going to get it.

Regrettably I reckon travel will be the last thing, overseas at least. They want any holidays taken to be in the UK, keep the money in our economy, so brexit looks a success. They will have to support the travel sector though or there won't be one. Wave goodbye to cheap holidays. If there's that much pent up demand, with lower supply there's only one way the price of two weeks in the sun will go.

Let's hope they don't have a 20% correction as we in the UK seem to follow them down every time. Difference is, they're starting from record highs, we most definitely are not.

Agree re. ex div date , that will be absorbed pretty quickly, one of the advantages of having 4 per yr instead of 2 or 1 big one even. It's only worth 1.3% so will be insignificant regarding share price.

price matching with Aldi is largely just a headline grabbing gimmick. How many exact same products do they sell, most of Aldi is look a like stuff.

So, probably no travel for young healthy people this summer. Another way for the GOVT to covertly persuade people to get vaccinated, if you want to go on holiday overseas, you must have the vaccine.

Re vaccinations, don't forget that while they're giving the first dose to the next lot, they have to give the second dose to the first lot too, so surely that should slow progress, no? It's not something I've really heard them speak of. Also from population spread of those jabbed so far only a third are in the over 70's age group, the rest are younger.
