Up to a point, Lord Catbert! Was it really "an opportune time for a placing agent like Shard to distribute warehoused shares to maximize proceeds and clear inventory"? Again, you're sounding like a ZIOC stooge (I refer you to my previous apology).
millerston makes my point perfectly: "But they're not treating us fairly. They're doing private, off market deals which are typically reported late and never have any upward pressure on share price. Maybe insiders are confident they can take us private for a pittance." I think the lack of upward pressure on the SP tells us everything and supports the "private for a pittance" view.
Aberdeenman: "someone is very very confident" but maybe not for the same reasons as LTHs like us!
shaun86: "Just need to decide what side of the fence you want to be on, the ones who say ‘told you so’ or the ones who miss out" OK, but miss out on how much exactly? And after all these years which have had a huge opportunity cost. Miss out on ZIOC being taken private which doesn't even guarantee the current SP if they're really cruel. More like a "generous" 15p offer because it's best for the company's future progress or do the decent thing and auction the whole caboodle and be amazed at the price it fetches! Particularly as the iron ore "known" to be there could be the tip of an iceberg - who knows?
900p per share no longer looks fanciful and if we are offered 15p they can expect legal action. Take it private if you must but offer us at least 200p and I don't think anyone would complain - we just want to explore new interests that don't begin with a Z! By the way, mobility problems prevent me from attending the AGM in London which is sad because I would've enjoyed discussing wine afterwards up to a point! I do have other interests. Today I've taken advantage of Tesco's 25% off 6 bottles - just finished a bottle of d'Arenberg's The Hermit Crab, McLaren Vale 2024, an unusual blend of Viognier and Marsanne which are usually found up the Rhone. That was £13 less 25% = £9.75. Followed by a bottle of Tesco Finest Mosel Riesling 2024 already reduced from £7.50 to £6.25. Less 25% takes it to £4.69! Are they still making a profit? Not my problem. GLA!
