That could be a tautology! Still down 30%. Even worse, the X-Wife thinks I'm stupid to be invested here in the first place. Even even worse I recommended she invest in ZIOC too! Except I think she's still actually in profit but that will butter few parsnips as I only recommended ZIOC to recoup other losses. Lesson 1: NEVER recommend shares to anyone. On a brighter note: it's interesting to see how many other investors think Roulette might offer better chances of success than the Stock Market which does appear to have been corrupted. MMs rule OK! Always questioned "for every seller there's a buyer" which never made sense. Obviously, I still have a lot to learn before I end up sleeping on a park bench but it could be a merciful release!

I'm down 30% and I can only see the SP falling further due to lack of interest/risk appetite. However, should interest return the bounce will be spectacular and I'm tempted to double my holding. I was interested to see what's happened with JAN after they sold their crown jewels in exchange for cash and an interest in the company that screwed them. Someone commented that 30% of something was worth a lot more than 100% of nothing which is undeniable.
I don't see that happening here due to not one but two major backers but WTFDIK?

Where would my PF be without ZIOC? It was only down 2.2% this week thanks to ZIOC being in the doldrums. If the SP had only risen 1p I'd be reporting my PF's fourth week rise in a row which is unheard of. It happened plenty of times in days of yore but that was then and this is now. So many more problems these days. Apart from Trump & Johnson. The death of the planet being the one we should all be worrying about more than share prices. Can't understand why population control is never mentioned. ZIOC is still 65% of my PF with RMG at 13% and considered a Strong Sell by everyone apart from me. My view is that RMG will never be re-nationalised, they are sitting on £billions of real estate and Automation will save them £millions. However, I look forward to a robot finding my address but, obviously, after it has there won't be any more problems. Unlike Amazon's humans. Maybe I should be playing Roulette?

You make a good point despite confusing the Congo with Spain! I must admit I've never considered the Zanaga Project from Glencore's point of view. I'm sure a quick sale of the whole project at the right price would benefit everyone and anywhere near 400p would be life-changing. In my case, £760k to spend on women and fast cars. And the rest I squandered...

I'm also with Interactive Investor but why would you expect any stockbroker to provide you with a free service?

I expect a mass migration from Interactive Investor to XO and iweb but it won't be long before they start charging too!
Have you thought about trading more often? You can make more money in one day than by buying and holding for a year. If you're not interested in trading individual shares it would make more sense to invest in Investment Trusts.

Yes, I agree we have never been closer than we are now but the SP still seems to suggest we have several mountains to climb. Where's that Chinese company with £billions to burn when you need them? Fact is, offering 100p for ZIOC at the moment would be the Deal Of The Century but presumably Glencore's presence puts the kybosh on that wishful thinking. Or does it? There is always a deal to be done. I, along with many LTHs, never expected we'd be developing our own mine at our own expense!

Among the Top Risers but lost momentum. For some reason investing in PXOG reminds me of backing a horse in the Grand National. Hopefully the forthcoming US-Iran War will catapult oil prices and raise all boats. As if PXOG wasn't underpriced already!

Not sure your expected "shift to the right" will ever happen judging by the recent council elections. But shale gas has a part to play in the UK if only the likes of Extinction Rebellion would take a less blinkered view. Unfortunately, in these crazy times, just one objector can stop an army.

Pleased to hear progress is being made but why isn't the Market listening? I'm currently 35% down and wishing I'd sold when the SP hit 26p as I'd be £40k richer. I would love to know the story behind the 1,294,127 sell - banking profits(!), cutting losses, given up all hope or better fish to fry?

I'm sure PXOG is sorry to lose you! Grrrr! I've come very close to bailing out but something stops me. It's certainly become much harder to make any money over the last few years which could be translated as I am invested in the wrong shares! All of us can only do our best but I feel sorry for the punters who buy on the spike every time as they won't last long. Much better to invest in PXOG and sell on the spike! On a more serious note, as soon as PXOG can start paying dividends the current SP will be a distant memory. But what are the chances? It never ceases to amaze me how long AIM companies can keep promising jam tomorrow while having endless placings. PREM is the perfect example but there is still money to be made in the worst companies if your timing is right.

Do you think there's ANY chance of ZIOC being taken over within the next year or so? I'm disappointed GLEN hasn't already stepped in at a bargain basement price. Am I doomed to sit on dead money for God knows how long until something happens? No wonder the SP's where it is!
Let's hope some canny Chinese businessmen are preparing to swoop and make a killing - I'd bite their hand off for 100p.

I'm interested in their 3% holding in Portr which is just the kind of company an IPO would value at an eye-watering price. Years ago I was an investor in the company that metamorphosed into VELA but I can't remember its name. I do remember a shareholder invested their life savings and lost the lot - whatever happened to her/him?

I thought about selling in anticipation of buying back in cheaper but I always think history won't repeat itself. One day it won't. What's odd is how PXOG rocketed (shorts closing?) while UOG hardly moved at all
while they both share an interest in the same holes in the ground.
I would've thought a 74% increase in resources ought to have led to at least a 50% rise in both SPs. And it's interesting to compare PXOG with BLOE - if the latter is fairly valued then PXOG is the bargain of the century!

Thanks for the reassurance. I live in hope. But the SP is still ridiculously cheap and I can't believe some Fund Managers aren't prepared to risk a few hundred £thousands on a potential multi-bagger. Not to mention one or two large buys would themselves send the SP higher. The fact that they're not queuing up to invest speaks volumes but the fundamentals also speak for themselves. Timing is everything, as always.

Or even faster? I remain a significant shareholder and can do without the "self-pity" attacks from entities who are anything but shareholders. Is ZIOC really employing people to denigrate unhappy shareholders who have lost patience and post negative comments? If so, it's a company not worth investing in. The saving grace, of course, is GLEN's involvement who will hopefully drive a hard bargain on ZIOC's behalf but some of us LTHs could be dead before that happens. What hasn't been addressed is how Iron Ore fits in with Global Warming - will the price rise or fall? If XR's demands are to be met it will require a sharp reverse in so-called Growth. Airlines will go bankrupt overnight. Tourism will cease. Local butchers will flourish. Of course, some of us haven't experienced any growth for many years as incomes have stalled and prices rose. If only MoneyWeek could see beyond the Official Figures and stop recommending Gold as an Investment. I'm more inclined to invest in tinned food.

I want £1 per share but I don't think the ZIOC Directors for reasons of their own will accept that. It's time they acted for the benefit of the rest of the shareholders and not themselves. They're all multi-millionaires and can move on to better things after they put the rest of us out of our misery. Of course, GLEN holding the extra share in the Zanaga Project is anything but the icing on the cake.

A decent RNS is met with almost a complete lack of interest! The Stock Market today is a very depressing one.

Just tried a dummy buy and was offered 0.165p while a dummy sell was 0.1611 - a bit different to the indicated 21.88% spread!
