I share your hope that PXOG will be our best share of 2019. Having said that, in December I thought about selling half my holding in order to buy MATD which, of course, has since rocketed 78% for no obvious reason except it was very oversold. As is PXOG which I' m sure will, sooner or later, be the subject of a Pump'n'Dump - mark my words.

You might be better off waiting for it to rise rather than drop further during current market conditions. Retail stocks are being crucified and what looks cheap one day can be even cheaper the next. And the next. I bought @ 29p and I'm not too worried - 100p by Xmas? Not too fanciful as soon as Brexit is behind us and "normality" returns. Rest assured the UK Economy will outperform the EU in 2019 which will lead to other Exits.

Forgot to mention: how safe is the dividend? If they manage to keep paying it then the SP will rocket!

Don't bet on it! How many FLYB shareholders expected a 1p takeover offer? MCLS could also do with a takeover offer but I don't think it would be quite so derisory. What's puzzling me is why the SPs of profitable retail businesses are being hammered so much. Only 20% of retail sales are online and a lot of those are through bricks & mortar companies.
But MCLS doesn't lend itself to online business - it's a corner shop FFS! But no doubt some start-up will attract £millions from Venture Capitalists who think paper rounds can be made more profitable.

Latest developments would indicate things are moving in the right direction. And I'm grateful being mainly invested in ZIOC has helped to preserve the value of my PF while others are plunging. So why is the SP @ 10.8p? Because everything is being undervalued at the moment due to a shortage of money, an aversion to Risk and a desperate search for Certainty. I'm looking forward to the other side of Brexit when at least one "uncertainty" will be behind us. Shame on JLR for taking an EU bribe to move production to Slovakia - cue further plunge in UK sales of their cars? I'm backing Britain as far as I can (I only buy English tomatoes) but my next car will be a Subaru.

In days of yore the appointment of Robbie Bell would've rocketed the SP. He seems the perfect bloke to take the company forward. I particularly like his previous experience with Tesco. Divide the MCLS Mkt. Cap. by the number of stores and each shop is valued at £40k! Unless the company is going to go belly-up like FISH it's looking ridiculously cheap.

Put simply, fewer immigrants ought to mean cheaper house prices and higher wages. Of course, homeowners may not welcome a fall in the value of their property but the ludicrously high cost of putting a roof over our heads is having a very negative impact on the UK Economy.

MCLS is one of my tips for 2019 and I would agree the upside is "amazing". Unless there's a skeleton in the cupboard which I'm hoping there isn't. People always use corner shops and MCLS is ripe for a takeover by a more dynamic company who can control costs.

You make a good point but unfortunately a lot of us have already been sitting back for a few years. Opportunity Cost can cost you dear and in the long run all LTHs tend to breathe their last breath! Years ago the SP was £2 and a lot of progress has since been made. So it's a mystery why the SP isn't at least 50p by now. And if ZIOC is so ridiculously cheap why hasn't it attracted a takeover offer - I'd be happy with £1 which would give me a 10-bagger. In fact, I'm surprised Glencore hasn't offered to buy us out on the cheap as they can afford to take a much longer view than any PI. As GG57 points out, the "resource will be used, it's just a matter of time" but are we talking 2019 or 2029?

I have to disagree with you! And I'm up 10% since buying QUIZ. There's an interesting article in today's Daily Telegraph supposedly written by a Civil Servant engaged in Brexit negotiations. Now we all know Project Fear is nothing to be afraid of and No Deal is what was intended all along. Have some faith in us not spiralling down the toilet! Why would we? The reason Juncker has made it so difficult for us to leave the EU is because he fears a mass exodus if we end up much better off (which we will).

After reading that Geely has taken an interest I'm expecting Daimler to end up under Chinese control during 2019.

No wonder we are where we are and my belief in Glencore managing to manage corrupt regimes now looks very wide of the mark. But the iron ore's still there and it's gaining value every day (more or less) so I'm stuck with my investment in ZIOC unless I take a huge risk by attempting to trade it. Maybe @ 25p but not where we are now.
Or I could decide to sell and hope to buy back at a similar price while buying the likes of FLYB before it surged 70%.

Your ignorance/arrogance is breathtaking! Is ZIOC a local company for local people to invest in? Without traders there'd be no Market and shorters have a part to play but I can't see how ZIOC would be attractive to them.
With a possible takeover offer at any moment (and we've been hearing that for several years) the upside risk could bankrupt them.
