More wishful thinking I fear. This will close below 24p for certain.

Have bought heavily this morning. Hoping to recover some of the losses caused by the fraudulent activity over at Wood Group.

Are you IceCool in disguise? I have never seen such rampant optimism. We all know that 35p is the maximum Sidara will offer and the stupid WG board have already recommended its acceptance. There will be no counter offer.

But IceCool, we all know perfectly well that the board let alone the CEO will not be ousted before the takeover. You are looking through rose tinted spectacles yet again.

Unfortunately another company run by incompetent or at worst corrupt board members with no interest whatsoever in shareholder value, behaving like a dodgy AIM organisation.

Basically nobody on here (except a few stubborn rampers) actually trusts Wood or Sidara to even consider the interest of shareholders. It seems to have been a massive conspiracy involving certain board members and their connections.

IceCool, your "Truthfully the deal looks 90% dead" comment looks absolutely stupid. If so, wouldn't the SP be rising? My gut feeling now is telling me that Sidara may more likely come back with a 25p offer. That is what the market appears to be saying.

Most investors on here confidently predicted that Sirius Minerals would be the next big success story with the SP rising through 25p and heading towards 100p once the mining preparation was complete. Instead, thanks to its massive debts, back in 2020, it was acquired by Anglo American for 5p and all our dreams were dashed. This sounds very similar to me.

Does anybody know how long it may take us to get our 35p assuming the Sidara firm offer arrives by Thursday and is accepted? Does the possible suspension still apply if Sidara become the new owners?

Here is what HD posted yesterday..."150 bid price will land this week as Sidara first offer with the BoD asking for more, the dance is a foot". As for IceCool, we all remember his famous analyses. My question to these guys is what do you now suggest we do? My inclination is to sell half now and invest in other stocks, leaving the other half as a risk v reward gamble.

The problem is that the WG board have absolutely no interest in protecting shareholders. This whole deal has been a stitch up, much like the actions of NMC and more recently Hemo, where the SP was allowed to crash and burn. Was hoping that a Scottish company would be more thoughtful.
