The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I think we will see £ 1.50.
A very satisfying week. Olivia ended well tonight and I think we will see $ 85 next week given all the bullish indicators out there. I didn't think PMO would hit £ 2 this year but now I'm not so sure. Momentum is a key factor in a share re-rate and I think we have that now. There are just so many different tailwinds for PMO at present it's pretty exciting to be a LTH. On the oil front I'm with ROS1: $ 100 is all well and good for PMO but it will kill demand. PMO, and the world economy, will do just fine with a $ 80 to $ 85 range that is maintained over a decent period of time. Good weekend to all.
Watching Trumps speech to the UN live. He is going bananas on various subjects. He was very punchy on OPEC. He is cutting the US UN budget hugely. He is saying they will make OPEC countries pay for US defence. God knows what the market will make of it all.
The only people selling at the moment are the CB’s and every sale is being bought into. Looking very good for this week. Exciting times and definitely will be a LTH for me for all of 2018.
Sharelock: totally agree. Traded volumes just don’t point to all the CB’s having exited. One of the few things the dear departed andy.p said that was right was that CB’s don’t like holding shares. My call is that they are still a drag on the SP. Wouldn’t be surprised if in the next few weeks we had one of those 10% daily rises out of nowhere as the SP plays catch up.
Supply and demand will always find an equilibrium. With all the info out there I just don’t see any logic for the various calls that POO will fall dramatically. In fact I see it will spike north of USD 80 in a pretty dramatic fashion. Guess we will we who is right over the next month. My call is by the end of October POO will be USD 85 + and PMO will be 150p +
Brent is at USD 79. Not exactly the end of the world really is it. Actually, just another week gone with PMO earning a ton of cash. Good weekend all.
SK I agree. I think there are still a number of CB’s clearing slowly. Think it could even take a further 2 weeks for them to fully clear. Olivia is looking like popping USD 80 today. To me that’s the most important factor.
Thanks to ROS1 and Sharelock for some very well thought out and informative posts. I agree H2 is looking very exciting indeed. I've had a little bit of a mental wobble with PMO lately. I still think 2018 will be a great year for the company and I think 2019 could actually be even better. On reflection I've come to the conclusion my wobble was caused by being in profit !! I've found when the price drifts it can actually be more stressful compared to when I was underwater. Anyway, my finger is well away from the sell button and looking forward to my PMO paid for New Years Eve party.
True Brent looks great but PMO still can’t seem to break 124p let along get up to its own yearly high. Not great is it really (my god I’m beginning to sound like andy.p !!)
ROS1: This share has taught me the hard way about patience !! I don’t disagree with your comments and £ 1.70 would be fine by me as well !!
I'm not saying it's been a dreadful year to be a PMO shareholder but I have to admit to feeling a bit deflated. There have been so many plus points:
Olivia averaging USD 71.17 to date (compared to USD 54.25 for 2017)
Catcher ramped up to full production with no issues.
Tolmount sanctioned - another milestone reached.
PMO on target to hit all it's key metrics regarding production, costs etc
And yet the share price has just not kicked on. In my mind I thought if things went well PMO would be £ 2 on New Years Eve. I just don't see that happening at present as any good news just doesn't seem to move the share price that much.
Short term I feel like throwing my phone against the wall when I check the share price.
Medium term with my profits all my family will be upgrading to the new iPhone XS Max
Long term I’ll be driving a Ferrari with the number plate THANKS PMO
For all the various reasons discussed here and elsewhere the trend for Olivia is only going one way: upwards.
Fundamentals will always win out in the end and PMO’s are pretty compelling.
I’m not trading this share as when it pops it will be a sight to behold. My take is we will be at least GBP 2 by New Years Eve which will be just fine by me.
Keep calm and carry on.
Fundamentals are still looking very good indeed. Let the CBH’s wash out and also get through general market jitters. I think we all look back on this year on news year eve and be very happy.
Very clever piece of business by HUR. 2019 will be a very exciting year for them.
We will see all CBH issues washed through the system. If POO is above USD 80 then what price could PMO be ? My crystal ball says a damn sight more than today’s price....
Looking very strong. Holding well above USD 75. At these levels Catcher is a major cash cow.
Very solid update today. No nasty surprises and a lot of consistency with previous PMO messages which the big ii will love. ii’s invest in companies who do what they say they are going to do and also make cash. Since Catcher FOIL you just can’t fault PMO in this regard. 2 HY is looking very exciting regarding cash generation. Toulmont looks like a great investment to greenlight (thank you again Tony for the Eon deal) and we have Zama bubbling away as well. Iran sanctions in November could be a lot more brutal than people think. I am very very happy to be LTH of PMO. My only worry is that world demand for oil could cool in 2 HY and that could effect POO.
Dodger: that analogy actually made me laugh out loud as its how I feel owning PMO a lot of the time !! I’m trying not to look at this too much now as the inter day and week ups and downs just wind me up. My focus is on my medium to long term view that oil demand will hold up and supply will be squeezed which will equal happy days for all mid cap oil companies. Not wishing my life away but roll on New Years Eve as I think all LTH will be rasing a glass of bubbly to thank Tony and the PMO team for a great 2018 and also to 2019 which I think will be even better for the share price.
