For sure Yaki - There is virtually nothing priced into the current market cap, its completely meaningless.

Its got a long way to go from its current ludicrous level. Who would have thought that after almost 5 years of adding during a period of steady (but slow and frustrating) progress one can still buy at 4.88p which is lower than my average. The really great news though is that this is still priced as MCPP not happening. PPA and SML therefore mean fireworks.

Oh for some news showing actual progress with regards to the GoT. One day.

We may well have a very exciting 6 months. I am also hoping for a very exciting 6 days and 6 weeks.

What the replies tell me is that we are, as we all thought/know, completely now in the hands of the GoT. If they agree PPA (and therefore by definition SML) it will light the blue touch paper. It is certainly game on unless we hear otherwise given the time, money, politics and resources already expended on this project

Yaki - St Brides

The questions that I sent to St.Brides were apparently answered during a Q & A session at the end of the AGM. The questions and answers were as follows: Have we provided the Tanzanian Government with what the company believes to be everything necessary for them to decide on both the SML and PPA? I.e. the ball is in the government’s court in both cases. Yes – bar any further requirements / queries the GoT may raise subsequent. Do we have any indication of timeline on both of these? We have a very firm commitment from all relevant Government departments that they are treating all these matters as highest priority and to conclude it ASAP. Can you confirm that in order to agree any PPA the company has had to demonstrate it has access to funding? The negotiations between the Government and Kibo on ALL matters related to the PPA are subject to the strictest confidentiality. Common sense however dictates that Kibo will at some point have to show that it has access to funding, but common sense also dictates that this will not be possible without a PPA in place. Is the government potentially deliberately delaying progress of the MCPP to coordinate timings with the building of the electricity distribution Infrastructure? Categorically NO

Mike I have asked for clarification in terms of where we are with documentation. It would be good to know that the ball is very in the TG’s Court. I am (genuinely) expecting a reply and will, of course, share here.

I don’t want us to be having this same discussion in 1 year’s time although that appears to be very possible.

Gillie - thanks for your, as always well considered post. The only point I would make is that I really do not need to be reminded ‘that it all takes time’. That is exactly my point I.e. I have no desire to start all over with other projects which will require the same boxes to be ticked as the MCPP. I have listened to LC tell me time and time again that we have the full support of the Tanzanian government. I have bought into this big time and have shown huge amounts of patience which is ongoing. Given the backdrop to the MCPP (Tamzamia desperate for power, great backing from large multinationals, full support of TG) if we can’t get that over the line who is going to buy into KIBO as a genuine energy company? If it can’t bring in the MCPP after all this time it’s not very encouraging to say the least. KIBO needs to evidence some shareholder value PDQ. It’s way way overdue.

LC please please concentrate on getting the MCPP over the line before embarking on any new projects.

Spot on Pauly. Hopefully the only difference will be that we will establish a new base rather than a fleeting spike. Many on here have seen 8p or even 10p come and go very quickly and may assume that when we revisit these numbers it will be before a quick retrace. With real news on PPA, SML, funding/FC and detail on SEPCO’s buy-in price we should see a genuine re-rate and steady progress northwards on the SP.

Well the institutional investment has not really sparked any movement in the SP. I can now sell my shares for a whole 4.2p. Bring on the PPA and SML.
