RE: 04 Dec Actual Statement Outlook13 Feb 2025 22:06
I disagree with you Mol & suggest you listen to the IMC meeting again which was held on 10th Dec in which SA confirmed that Croda revenue would be received before the end of calendar year 2024 ie before 31/12/24.
Normally revenue is booked at point of invoice with the corresponding entry being debtors. When the invoice is paid the debtors asset is reduced and the cash asset is enhanced. Payment terms can vary depending on product and customer.
There have been a significant number of RNS's since September 2024 when Simon last discussed HVO & he hasn't mentioned any of them which in itself is very unusual. That is why I'm expecting him to include it in his Bargain Shares 2025 portfolio which should get released this evening after the market closes. I'm not sure if TEK will be included, it could be as he likes SALT as well. I'm hoping he includes FIN and/or GGP. I thought last year's choice was a bit weak overall so hoping for a more diverse choice.
As we have all previously said the quality of the wording of all of the previous RNS are at best poor and really quite shocking and open to interpretation. The fact that nobody outside of the company knows when they will tell us how much revenue they have received in respect of Croda (he did say they would receive revenue by end of calendar year 2024) sums it all up to me.
Can SA be trusted in what he says? Track record suggests everything is open to interpretation hence why I think he is a poor CEO. He is out of his depth in dealing with the big boys but in spite of this I do expect to continue to make money on this share, a bit like TW really.
If Croda revenues are included in next month's interims, as you say Aqua, then there is nothing stopping him doing a trading update ahead of the interims saying we are performing ahead of market expectations, if indeed that is what is happening. That is what lots of other companies do without giving any details regarding values, therefore not impacting the NDA.
Also, what's with the silence on everything else bar Croda? I thought we had a number of pillars and businesses to our portfolio, what is SA playing at, he doesn't have a clue.
I would be more interested to see whether HVO makes it into Simon Thompson's 2025 bargain shares portfolio which gets released on Thursday evening this week.
Hey Tom, can't believe how long it's been since TW days. Great that we moved on to GGP, here's looking forward to the next year. All the best to you & your family.
Lots of chat today but remember SA is out of his depth in understanding the market & what's best for the SP. He always has been & always will be, let's hope he doesn't screw it up.
Lots of good news on the horizon, which should compensate SA's weakness.
