Put 8-Suroriente-Vetra N Sands17 Jan 2018 21:45
Bakoven - a lot has changed since 2013, firstly the OBA makes Put 8 & N sand economics better to exploit and manage route to market. Our partner in Put 8 - Vetra is a key player in Suroriente next door to the East producing from N Sands and Cohembi 1 well - prolific is all but 10 yards from PUT 8, see map. Did you hear Giles saying that the Colombian Oil authorities better get used to drilling from one block into another!! With Vetra the conduit, we could use their PAD to drill into PUT 8 and they would want their juice going through the OBA. Quote, a little out of date - The Suroriente block covers 36,527ha and is located in Colombia's Putumayo basin. The project belongs to state oil firm Ecopetrol (48%) and consortium Energy (52%). This consortium, in turn, is formed by Canadian firm Suroco, which holds 30.4%, giving it a 15.8% stake in the Suroriente block, and local company Vetra, which is the operator of the block by virtue of its 69.5% majority stake in the consortium. The block has 20 active wells which produced 15,545b/d in March 2014 at fields Quillacinga, Cohemb (both in production) and Quinde (under exploration). A net oil area containing deposits of an average 29 API was discovered in the Quillacinga field, at the Villeta U and T deposits. The Cohemb field is the block's most productive, with an output of 11,813b/d in March 2014, from the Villeta N sands. Its development started in 2012 with the drilling of seven wells and later, in 2013, four more were added. The drilling of up to four more wells is planned for 2014. The goal is to achieve full development of the field, with 20 active wells, by late-2014 or early-2015. PUT 8 is untapped and only part of the PUT 9 & 12 plays. Last point - JW forecast production 2018 12k, seems low especially with CPO 5 at 4.5 and another???!! My guess the 12kbopd is without Llanos as it is sold for mega bucks, there's massive oppos in 8/9/12 & N sands - cake and eat it I believe. GL GN
