After the demobilization of the FARC, the ensuing power vacuum there was quickly filled by armed groups at the drug traffickers� service. Apart from �Cachi�s�, groups operating there include the one led by "Guacho", who is, according to Colombian authorities, the leader of the FARC dissidents who do not accept the Peace Agreement. The Alto Mira is one of the largest coca crop areas in the municipality of Tumaco, which accounts for almost half of the reported crops in the Department of Nari�o. Tumaco is the municipality with most coca crops in Colombia. !!!! Warning signs of a likely armed clash in Tumaco had been on for at least two weeks. From September 25, 16 African descendant leaders of the Alto Mira and Border Community Council who had accepted the government plan for voluntary eradication under the promise of effective crop substitution received death threats and had to move out of the area. Quick post, H1 AMER lost money ($1m) average output 4.4k probably 50% less than 4 years ago. So Cashflow gen H1 $8m, we had no real cash for capex, where we should have put the foot down and used the RBL and accelerated capex, there is a time to use debt and we have missed the boat . In 18mths AMER will produce in 3 different fields which will reduce future disruptions, but forgetting RH a second, there is NO URGENCY and to be fair the Market has been kind really considering our lack of cash gen except for OCT -- we need 3 mths un-interrupted to end the year with +ve trading results. We had to dumb down the drill- lack of cash really, where others have not 'Hanckered back JW- they are getting ahead of your modest gain. Hi CJ, I did not buy in to the string of drills & de risked but still hold - to me it was always about courtship - PPC strength & Value is all about concessions never liked the + 4 delayed manufactured drillings - PL must be really upset with the state of play But he knows now - deliverance - & that's by handing over the drill to the Chinese is a clear statement - we will see PL compromise sooner IMHO with their partner more overt - at 7.5p cheap - Keep the faith - I've added the upside is huge just need a bit of luck.
