I don't have much in this company Larus so not paying much attention. Was a genuine question. It's just a lot more song and dance is made about medical trials. Lots more information at the least.

Must admit I'm a little confused. These aren't proper medical trials are they? Even if they were there would then need to be regulator approval. Once that's achieved then yeah, ditch the statins.

My feeling is the victor in the next gen battery race could come from anywhere. It may well not require graphite but just as easily could or graphene. However, it will be 10 years until we know. In the meantime there will be plenty of graphite demand to allow TGR to sell everything it can produce. Tesla may not be involved. I find them to be mostly hype. May crumble in the face of serious competition.

Can't pretend to understand the part about their optical transistor but that's the part of interest for IQE. All the stuff about splitting light beams and varying intesity through the material would require VCSEL type devices. However, I'm pretty sure no one's near making an optical CPU. Maybe replacing certain parts like interfaces between cache and processor oo distributing the clock signal. Anyway, NVIDIA doesn't make thier own chips. Maybe Intel, Samsung or TSMC.

Take as you find llol. I found that there was a lot of interesting information from their view of the sector's prospects this year and the comments on IQE's positioning. Although, it was little more than reiteration of what everyone already knew on that second part.

There's no way of knowing until we find out exaclty what TGR will produce and what it can be used for SI. There are many different types of graphene as you say. A lot of companies are producing basically graphite and calling it graphene. There's everything in between that and pure single layer graphene which still comes at a cost of many times the world's gdp to produce 1 kg.

I thought they paid for themselves pretty effectively through lower running costs though? Biggest impediment to adoption is lack of a comprehensive charging infrastructure.

Crystal ball gazing but if this takes off it could be big for IQE in the medium to long term.

No you are right Nanonano, causing burn in to screens where different coloured emiters are used to make whole pixels, but also if some pixels are on significantly more than others they will age faster.

Yes exactly. Blue are most susceptible to burn. If parts of the screen are lit for prolonged periods of time while others are dim those pixels will wear out quicker.

I'm not convinced they won't be susceptable to the dreaded screen burn either. If OLED is the light source and always blue they could actually be more susceptable than other models. Samsung are trying to combat that with having 3 layers of OLED I suppose.

I was actually surprised how few of these screens were on show. Sony presented one very premium TV and Alienware one gaming monitor. Neither will sell very many units. Samsung showed nothing themeselves. I suspect the technology isn't quite as ready as Samsung would have everyone believe and doubt it will be widely available this year.

HSBC have stated they have no direct exposure. Are you referring to some indirect exposure marine?
