I like the look of Bitcoin movement this weekend. If it moves upwards in the second half of January, investors looking for where to put their money this year will have a flutter on it, and we will be laughing.

I haven't got Bitcoin, but I've been moving my small stash between Bitcoin mining companies for 10 months, still waiting to break even (so expensive to jump from company to company, so much better to hold for gold as they say).
It was a week ago that bitcoin hit $40,000 and it has stayed steadily above since then. I like the look of it this past week and this weekend, it's very slow going up, but that's better for QBT than a crazy dash up and a crazy dash down.
I think whales and tiddlers alike will be tempted to invest in Bitcoin Sunday evening in expectation of a rise next week: let's see.

I see Quantum ending in a very strong position today, largely due to the strength of Bitcoin.
A steadily rising Bitcoin will help this company fund all of its plans, and that means profit for us shareholders.

Bitcoin's first strong day in months: 5% up, and I'm sure the other cryptos are following.
I knew the interest in crypto around the world would have to lift crypto eventually, but the question was when? When, when, when.
The answer: today!

I've had many worse Mondays on the stock market these past 6 months or so.
While crypto is deciding whether to go up or down, we can at least be pleased with the picture of Omicron that is taking shape: seems likely it will allow people separated from their loved ones to get together early this year.
A reason to be cheerful if ever there was one.

I agree Layla, the beauty of Quantum is that whatever the price of Bitcoin, finding it quicker than everyone else is a good idea . . .
While we wait for proof that this company has got its hands on superfast Bitcoin mining, it's great for us if Bitcoin mooches on upwards.

In the long run, if Quantum really can double the speed of mining Bitcoin, it won't matter if Bitcoin costs $100,000 each or £1 each. Everyone mining Bitcoin will pay for Quantum technology.
For now, Bitcoin price is important to this company, and I hope this weekend when it held steady at around $41,500 draws investors on Monday morning.

A country we never hear about, Kazakhstan, is centre of the news. It can't be a coincidence that Kazakhstan is doing extremely well at mining Bitcoin (20% of the world's mining). The massive money pouring into crypto has caught Russian and now US attention.
Aldebaran posted earlier that the money pouring into crypto and crypto companies reminds him of the dot.com bubble . . . okay, but the strength of the dollar these past 2 years has reminded ME of the dot.com bubble. A few months ago I read that 80% of US dollars in circulation had been produced by the US government borrowing dollars from itself. If I were broke I wouldn't be able to borrow from myself . . .

I agree, only the practice of holding a share will show you how the share behaves.
I'm thinking Quantum will not need a shooting-up of crypto to shoot up itself: there are a lot of interested eyes on this share, ready to put a little in at a small nudge up of Bitcoin. That's my guess.

I hope I don't spend the whole weekend checking the Bitcoin price as much as I have this morning! But I'm with Denzal thinking $40,000 is a likely baseline for Bitcoin to bounce off of, and I would be delighted to see it staying above that line this weekend.

Remember going into the weekend: Valereum announced the acquisition of a company this week . . . not a pair of shoes or a sofa, but a company.
It feels to me like a sturdy step towards big money.

A nice picture going into the weekend: $40,000 per Bitcoin looks like a sensible, sturdy base from which the next Bitcoin bounce could happen.
Currently $41,000, maybe this weekend will be the start of the first crypto rise of 2022.

Happy to see Quantum rising in spite of Bitcoin falling, but I'm wondering why?
Many investors seem to be taking this scary Bitcoin drop with a pinch of salt. I guess it has happened several times before so it's not a reason to run away anymore.

A great trading update this morning: Team17 profit in 2020 had an enormous boost from lockdown, but profit in 2021 will be even higher. Roll on March when the Jan-Dec 2021's results are going to published.
Plus a note saying the company has "entered 2022 with confidence" due to the acquisition of StoryToys last year and two more acquisitions announced this morning.

This time a year ago, the share price was 0.3p. Shares often shoot up, but they shoot down just as quickly.
Here we are 12 months later sitting pretty at around 3p as though we belong here.
