I agree with Helx2, the next US interest rate decision – if it's a drop as expected – will help precious metals rise, and UFO with them. The date for it is 17th September.

I'm with 5x5, "don't get greedy and so miss out" if UFO takes off. But it's really hard to take money off of a rising share. If we get lucky, I'm planning to take my investment out in 3 portions, so that each time some money is left to gather more growth, if growth happens. Hope the precious metals play ball in the coming months.

Bill Brodie Good vanished, but I always wondered what size portion of shares he kept when he walked, if any.

My portion of shares is extremely tiny, but sure would be lovely to see the price multiply.

Back in 2020, the head of Alien Metals was Bill Brodie Good. As far as I know, he was responsible for the purchase of Elizabeth Hill. I've jumped on and and off this share three times since then, each time losing a bit . . . . each time my ££s have contributed to the share price, so I think I've earned the right to a limerick:

stuck his flag in Elizabeth Hill,

The flag struck a nugget, young Bill he did tug it

And ran home with several mill xx

Quite right Forrest! And there's another horror on my path to riches, which is that I can't sit still on a share. Fidgeting is sooo expensive. But UFO has kept me coming back longer than any other company, let's hope we're all on the right game board here.

I hope I can be sensible this time: cash a portion of my shares if we go up nicely with precious metals in the coming months, and leave a bigger portion on UFO in the hopes of iron ore and silver/PGMs in the future. I like the company chucking out a PM press release right now: they're not snoozing.

That's true Steveiom, but maybe it won't put investors off who are looking for a quick ride up with gold rather than looking to invest long-term?

I guess it depends how much upward oomph gold has got now. I believe it usually moves the opposite way to the interest rate. So the first interest rate drop was August (UK) and Sept (UK) . . . there should be a few more drops on the cards? It's all an educated guessing game isn't it?
